Reduced paperwork, printing, and corporate efficiency
The installation of the program was a breeze, and everything went off without a hitch after it was all set up. Our customers do not report having a difficult time becoming accustomed to the program as a result of its user-friendly functioning and features. Despite the fact that there was a significant time difference between us, Theresa was really helpful and fast to reply to my questions and concerns.

This soft was the most approachable of all the service providers we contacted on our requirements for cost reporting. They made certain that we were at ease at every stage of the process and that our organization's requirements were satisfied.
Nachteile
At one point, the user was unexpectedly locked out and unable to re-enter their credentials in order to utilize the program. It was the user's responsibility to reinstall the program in order to get it working again, however it wasn't clear what had caused the problem in the first place.

The ultimate solution for my expense reports
My overall experience has been exceptional. Since I started using this tool, I have noticed a huge increase in the efficiency and accuracy of my expense reports. The receipt reader feature is just amazing

My favorite thing about this platform is how easy and convenient it makes the entire expense reporting process. With its receipt reader feature, I can now simply take a picture of my receipts and forget about dealing with paperwork and the hassles of manually entering details.
Nachteile
I have sometimes experienced issues with location accuracy resulting in incorrect mileage calculations. Lastly, I wish the mobile interface of the app was a bit more intuitive and easy to navigate.

Why we love Expense Point
I am happy with our overall experience. It has saved us lots of time.
Vorteile
We really appreciate how quickly they respond to our questions. If we ever encounter any issues, their email support is incredibly fast and helpful. The mobile app itself is very simple and user-friendly, with a clean design and neutral colors.
Nachteile
That we are not able to move an edited expense from one report to the next. It can be easy to add a receipt to the wrong report, and in order to add it to the correct report we need to delete the current receipt, retake the photo and add it to the new report.

My experiences with expensepoint are all good. All their staff always go above and beyond to help you in anything that you need. They are all very friendly and very patient and ready to dive in and solve all of your technical questions.

Very good. Our contact has been very helpful and accessible, she has answered every question quickly.

It's fairly easy to use, any issues have mostly been related to the complexity of our GL coding which has nothing to do with ExpensePoint.
Nachteile
The analysis capabilities could be more flexible. I would like to be able to add columns (data fields) to existing reports or create my own reports from scratch using any data field available but it seems limited at this point.

Complete streamline of our expenses
Reduced paperwork and printing and improved efficiency throughout the company.

We have been struggling to keep track of expenses in a way that doesn't seem like an interruption to our workflow. We previously used paper vouchers for accountability and have now cut our printing by almost 50%. There is a receipt wallet which stores all receipts once upload in real time which is a great feature for employees who work primarily in the field. For busy employees, rights can be granted for an administrator to author their reports. The level of tracking by - user, category and project allows you drill down to get a thorough understanding of spending. The printable reports are very professional-looking. We thought the cost was AMAZING for this level of expense tracking' so affordable compared to their counterparts with less features. We also appreciate that we are able to pre-set what GLs can and cannot be used for expenses which eliminates inaccurate coding of expenses. The landing pages to sign in are refreshing. Last, the customer support was top-notch and unlike that of other software companies we've worked with.
Nachteile
We haven't found any major features that were lacking. Those we though were an issue were rectified with additional training.

Great Customer Service!
Expense Point takes the guess work out of expensing the many transactions that come through our company. We have almost 100 credit cards that are used on a regular basis. I am able to take care of all of this by myself with the help of the Expensepoint program. Theresa our account rep is very helpful and always courteous! Thank you!

If there is something I cannot understand or figure out, our account rep Theresa helps me through it every time! She has come up with some great solutions for issues I have encountered on our end. It is also very easy to understand and navigate for all of our users.
Nachteile
There should be a help section where you can type in what you need help with to search the database for answers. All I have ever seen are the links to video tutorials.

Exceptional Customer Service and Support
We needed to find ways to capture some indisyncratic data so we could stage 4 different uploads based on the expense report type.
Dealing with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and her team was a dream when we were trying to make significant changes to our EP environment regarding data, report composition and customizations that would allow us or better ease in integrating data. She was extremely responsive and sent us data and reports almost immediately in most cases.
She has a great attitude and was very patient with us, explaining things away. Her speed, knowledge and professionalism allowed us to make movement on a project very quickly and ahead of schedule.

Best Expense Report Software!
Overall experience with ExpensePoint has been great. Truly the best expenses software I have ever used by far.

Apart from being a 100% user friendly to both users and admin, what I really like about expensepoint is that it can be customized according to business needs. And when it's customized, it even works like magic! Also, when ExpensePoint team promises you the best customer service, they actually mean it! They're always available to help you anytime, wherever part of the world you may be.
Nachteile
Limited information displayed for the transactions (description not shown) when viewing the entire report which is a bit difficult when browsing quickly to look for a specific transaction by its description. I would need to open each transaction to see it's full description.

Third company roll-out and it continues to improve and impress.
Elimination of paper receipts, automation of account coding, simple tool for users which encouraged adoption and prompt approval and payment of employee funded receipts which also encourage adoption. Electronic workflow ensures proper approvals and accountability.
Vorteile
Intuitive, even for team members who have not undertaken any formal tutorials or training. Team loves the functionality of taking pictures of receipts on the go and submitting reports even when on the road. Reporting allows us to ensure that submitted reports are reviewed, approved and paid on a timely basis.
Nachteile
We are still working to fully customize the software to properly track units of measure (number of attendees, nights, car rental days, etc.) but the occasional miss is not a material con.

Great Service team, flexibility for any reports you need
Every company has its unique requirement on process and reporting. ExpensePoint service team can always make it happen for you. People are comparing UI of expense reporting between vendors when find a system. I don't really see much differences on UI between vendors. The reporting and date transferring to finance system are much more important from my experience. It would be a nightmare if I don't have a full service team to back me up.

Be able to generate any kind of reports needed for management and finance.
Flexible design on approval process setting.
Strong and Friendly service team back you up for all technical needs.
Nachteile
Exchange rate set by the system might not be the same as the rate used by bank at the time wire the payment to oversea employees. This is inconvenient only if you have remote employees from overseas.

Connectivity. Since it exports to csv, it doesn't need to connect to my accounting program. I am able to upload as needed.

Exporting to a csv and being able to import that into my accounting software.
Nachteile
The billable portion does not work. I also don't like the way the GST is separated from the line item and entered as a separate line. I would rather each line either have a "G" for GST or an "E" for exempt.

We went Live with ExpensePoint during the last quarter of 2013 and the experience has been nothing but superb. Majority of our employees who took advantage of the initial go-live training from the Subject Matter Experts (SME) at ExpensePoint were very complimentary of the ease and friendliness of the system. Although, as with every new system and change, there were a few pockets of employees who have been slow to adapt but with time, they have come to realize that the system is very user friendly. Since going Live with ExpensePoint we were able to eliminate the supplemental payroll cyrcle which were usally on the alternate week of our regular payroll processing. So basically, we have gone from 52 payroll cycles each year to 26. In addition, this consolidation to just two bi-weekly payroll cycles have helped us reduce/eliminate the weekly expenses for direct deposit ACH transmittals for the reimbursements payroll process.
Overall, the expensePoint employees have been very helpful in their knowledge transfer and have always been available to answer our questions during and even after the critical Go-Live period of the system implementation. Having worked in the payroll environment for almost 18 years, I must say that I have been very impressed with the ExpensePoint system from a cost savings point of view for our organization and the ease of use of this system. The interaction with the ExpensePoint team have been very positive and I will be happy to talk about my experience with other potential clients who might be considering this system for their facilities.

Expense Point Review
We have used it primarily for Expense Reporting for our Retail environment. Currently more than 500 users are signed up and using it. It has helped us eliminate keeping and maintaining stacks of paper work. Easy to validate everything on their website which includes setting up hierarchies to managers and finally Accounting / Accounts Payables for final approval.

Expensepoint: the most value-adding, and easy to implement expense reporting system I've ever...
Implementing expensepoint with our Quickbooks was the easiest implementation of an expense system I have ever been through. I have implemented other bigger , more well known systems, and have had just terrible experiences. the process was too tedius, and it required many hours to complete. One of things we really appreciated about expensepoint, was the option to purchase by reports as well as by users. it really makes a top notch software quite affordable, and the expense to use it can be completely variable based on expense reports, which is great when you are trying to control costs. We couldn't be happier.

The receipt wallet / receipt reader function is the most loved feature by all employees. the fact they can just drop the pictures, and comeback later to an almost completed expense report that just needs a couple of clicks to submit, has been a game changer for employees on the road as well as those who don't travel as much, but purchase regularly on behlaf of the company. in Accounting, we love how easy it is to review, approve, push an entrry into quickbooks, and reimburse, all from within expensepoint. the integration to automatically issue reimbursements from expensepoint, as saved our accounting staff hundreds of hours reconciling, recording, and issuing the payments via AP. Now it takes less than 1 minute to issue the payments, its simply wonderful!
Nachteile
We had a few hiccups entering banking information for reimbursements, but the implemenation team was able to manually make adjustments and helped us get through.

Critical Software for Non-profit
The ExpensePoint team took great care to understand the business needs of our non-profit and offered a suite of capability and pricing options that work well with how we operate. The support has been outstanding and flexible. The software is robust and capable for our needs as we grow into the future.
Vorteile
The expensepoint system is robust in its capability for managing and tracking expenses. The mobile app is especially easy to use and the ability to upload receipts with automatic OCR scanning greatly improves ease-of-use.
Nachteile
The main web interface feels somewhat dated and confusing. It's fully functional and there are features implemented on the website that cannot be accessed via the mobile app (e.g. adding an email address for receipt uploading).

The ExpensePoint team has been great. From the start of the process with [sensitive content hidden] who was my first contact, and [sensitive content hidden] who assisted with developing the setup and format, and [sensitive content hidden] who provided training of the program...it has been an easy and successful process. Our staff has been able to dive right in and start using the program with ease. Everyone I worked with at ExpensePoint has been attentive, friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. My questions have always been handled in an efficient and friendly manner. We are pleased with the program and the level of support received to get us going, and the information that has been provided for support whenever we may need it.
Vorteile
The simplicity of the program. We were able to tailor it our needs and not have a lot of features that did not apply to those needs.
Nachteile
I have not experienced any cons at this point.

The support staff at Expense Point has been extremely helpful and always very quick to respond and resolve any issues I may have. Their customer service is very personal and professional. The ease and organization of communication regarding the expenses submitted between staff and myself has been an immense help for me. The ease of looking up and finding specific expenses is quick and easy.

The functionality of Expense Point has been very valuable to me as an administrator. I really love how much I can do and create within the system, I don't have to get Expense Point to set these up, instead I can play in the system and create what I need. It allows me to have the system set-up to fit our company and our unique and complex accounting program. The system is very adaptable and allows me to create report templates and change approval processes easily and quickly, which is an aspect I did not find with other systems we had tried. This aspect also allows the system to grow with us in any changes we may implement in our company.
Nachteile
From an administrator perspective the adaptability and flexibility of the program can be a little difficult navigating at first because there are different layers to fill in when setting up or changing settings. However, once you have done it a few times it's very intuitive and it is easy to follow how all of the parts fit and work together. Unlike other programs I have used, Expense Point allows you to be able to access many features that other programs do not, and that is well worth any learning curve that may be encountered.

They could not adapt enough for our complex accounting system, at least not without paying them a lot of extra fees to create new templates. It seemed every report I wanted to create required a request to them to create it and a fee. I had no access to any of the behind the scenes working of the program. Simply the best
The end user benefits tremendously from not having to carry multiple receipts in their possession.
The administrator doesn’t have stack of paper sat on the desk
The accountant can automatically sync the claims with our ERP.
These are all savings of NVAT with no negative impact on our administration at all.
It’s a win/Win

The accuracy of the receipt reading is second to none that I have ever experienced with other suppliers.

I would like for it to automatically take daily values down to a pre-set amount if the end user exceeds an allowance. It doesn’t do this, but neither does ay other system. I hope that the industry best practice will change to suit.

Goodbye Excel, Hello Efficiency!

I like that the software is easy to use, all encompassing, and very user friendly. It helps me streamline everything in a way they you naturally want from software like this. I also love the customer support. They are highly responsive, very intellectual, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are having a good experience with ExpensePoint. They don't just answer my question, they will go out f their way to bring up something else I might like to utilize (based off things I have said in conversation). That's what you want in a company!
Nachteile
This isn't so much a dislike on Expensepoint as it is on the big chain credit cards. We started off with Capital one Spark Miles CC and it turns out they do not have VCF Feed available and the Plaid integration does not work for authorized users. This really delayed our implementation. For over a month I kept trying to get it to work, then finally called ExpensePoint support who instantly knew that it would not work. They were able to give me Credit Card examples that do have VCF feed and that integrate well, which was nice. But what would have been nicer is having the sales team / implementation team we worked with ask that question. It would have saved us about 2 months of delays rolling out the software.

Easy and Efficient

We have been using ExpensePoint for a few years now and we have nothing but positive things to say about the software and Team. We recently engaged ExpensePoint for a project to upgrade the way our expenses are uploaded to our financial system. The ExpensePoint team was very helpful throughout the whole process. From listening to what we needed to delivering the upgraded features to the system. We recently rolled this out globally and it is a game changer! The amount of manual data entry we were doing before this project was astronomical. The new process is not only efficient but very simple with just a few clicks of the button. We highly recommend ExpensePoint. Thank you for the continuous support.
Nachteile
Overall the system is great. One thing that could be updated is adding a search field to the User tab. Having so many users and scrolling through can be a pain. Another update could be to allow more lines to be exported at a time. Currently I believe it is only 5,000 and when running a report for a large category like client entertainment I have to pull it several times to get the full year. Again these are small items but would be nice to have.

Great Piece of Software
Each employee is able to assign their own expenses to the correct project and then break it out for the correct department expense. We have all of our transactions automatically uploaded into our system so I know if an employee forgets to turn in expenses. This is a very beneficial aspect of the software that I would not want to lose.
Vorteile
I have been using this software for 3 years now and rarely ever have service issues. When I do have an issue, the tech support team at ExpensePoint takes care of it immediately. I like the functionality of the software and ease of use, but what I like most is the people in tech support. The expense reporting needs of our company can be complicated, but the tech support team has always been able to create something for us to make it easier.

We are limited to to a certain credit card company that will allow us to have our transactions automatically uploaded.

ExpensePoint Delivers Great Value and Ease of Use
I had a great experience setting up the platform, getting personal training and my service rep is excellent. Again, I can't emphasize enough the level of personal support you get for such a reasonable price. I'm getting the same support an organization 100 times my size would receive. Great product!

I have 3 companies that I keep track of expenses for. This is the only product that allowed me to set up custom fields including different companies to track expenses for. I was very impressed with the level of support and attention I get for such a reasonable monthly fee. The desktop and mobile platforms work great and are intuitive to use.
Nachteile
I have been using the product for a short time and there is nothing I do not like about the platform. The mileage tracker is a great feature but I wish I didn't have to go into my settings to turn it on and off. I don't know if this can be improved or not, but I don't like to have apps running in the background.

Fantastic Software with a great team behind it
Implementation process was great. With the multi currency set up that our regional offices needed, the implementation team helped us find a solution which would work for us specifically.
Post implementation, Expensepoint Support and the Customer Relationship Manager were very helpful in answering queries.

Easy to use - our users only needed an hour training session and they were then comfortable enough to use the system on their own.

Administrators have access to most of the system, thus allowing me to resolve issues quickly

Initially there were some bugs during implementation but they were quickly resolved by Expensepoint Developers.
Support hours could be longer as being in London there is a big time difference. However, luckily we did not have to call upon their help too many times.

-Home page dashboard gives a good overall view about yearly spending by category.
-Report search function helps program admin tracking report approval status quickly.
Nachteile
-Depends on browser and operating systems, sometimes receipts section gets squeezed to size that is not visible. It happens when using Safari on a Mac system.
-The mobile app does not have as much accessibility as desktop version - trouble viewing and creating authorized user's credit card reports on mobile app.

Overall very good experience.
Vorteile
For the most part it's user friendly. On occasion when we do experience hiccups I know I can rely 100% on their support team - specifically Theresa. She responds quickly to any concerns that I have and will work closely with me or our team to to resolve any issues that may arise.
Nachteile
The software only allows one receipt per one transactions. For example, a hotel receipt may have accommodation - food - parking on 1 invoice, we like to break these transactions down - however, we cannot tie this 1 invoice to multiple transaction lines.

Untangle the mess of expense and credit card reporting
We have had a smooth implementation and excellent customer service. Our users like the software and the mobile app, and reports are much more detailed and provide documentation that we can save electronically, instead of files and files of paper reports and receipts.
Vorteile
The software is easy to use and flexible, and can be customized to fit our ever-changing needs. I like that it has multiple platforms available, and I can use it with QuickBooks Online. It automates the processes that we were doing by spreadsheet - so much easier now!
Nachteile
Our corporate cards are not eligible to automatically feed transactions into ExpensePoint, so I have to periodically upload them manually

This has consolidated as well as promoted for much change in our company. Our department heads are taking control of their financials for their departments and much of it started with questions when we began using ExpensePoint.

Any time I have needed help, our rep has always been right there to assist very quickly. It has made things much smoother and easy for us.
Nachteile
The app can have bugs every once in a while and it would be easier if you could click from the main screen when you have reports to review, rather than go into the Expense Manager and search.

Great tool for processing expenses and running reports. Charges derived from corporate credit cards are placed in user's profile which assists in creating a more accurate expense report. Employees appreciate the ease of use.

Worth the money...If it's Free
The system freezes up when you try to create a report. To work around this, I put my receipts in the receipt "Wallet". When I try to create an expense, it links the wrong receipt with my entry. I wish they wouldn't have rushed to bring this system to market. Maybe a competitor of theirs will take their idea and actually make a program that works...
Vorteile
It is a good idea, take a picture of a receipt and it will capture the data and make expense reports easy.
Nachteile
It totally fails at accomplishing what it sets out to do. I think they rushed the software to market. It needs to have the bugs worked out of the system.
