Overall: A pretty good experience.
Just the planning and overview for everybody.

Well designed, good overview, and nice to have different ways of showing the tasks and progress .
Nachteile
Some overviews have grown beyond usefulness. Like the task overview, which contains 7 subsections (People, Planning, Checklist, Comments, Notes, Documents, Links) . On a standard screen you always have to scroll way down to see it all, so I usually miss any comments or items on the checklist.

More visibility into shared resources
We use LP to manage multiple concurrent client projects. With several project managers sharing resources, it is vital to have visibility into resource availability and potential schedule conflicts. Because of the extremely long duration of our projects (with heavy work in the beginning, then intermittently for months to years afterwards), it took us some time to develop a workflow that would allow for prioritization of individual tasks rather than projects as a whole. But we've come a long way from using stand alone MS project files! Time tracking directly on the task has also been very beneficial for more accurate tracking and billing of work.

Our need for prioritization by task (rather than project) can make it challenging to get tentative timelines in front of a client that are still reasonably accurate. Would love to see a 'timekeeper only' user license option, would like to be able to track time against checklist item

Comprehensive project management tool for collaborative teams
Liquid Planner provides a broad overview of all your projects and great visibility over employees' work loads. There is definitely a learning curve and adoption takes some time.
Vorteile
From gantt charts to time estimates, this tool was a lifesaver when we found ourselves falling short on task tracking and project tracking. management.
Estimating tasks with ranges (like 3-6 hours) instead of a single number makes a huge difference and the plethora of organization features make complex projects less tedious to look at.
Tracking employee capacity, schedules, and their deliverables has been particularly helpful, especially when you have multiple projects going on at the same time.
Nachteile
There is a glaring lack of third-party integrations and the interface can be overwhelming if you're used to simpler tools. Would also be nice to link to specific tasks.
Overall, this is a more technical PM software that basic users who just need a limited view of projects will find reasons not to use it.

Powerful tool for team collaboration
Overall, I enjoy LP. The email notifications are superb, the timesheet view, the work view, the ability to "Favorite" views - there is a lot to like about it.

I love how extensive the features are. I've used several other project/team management solutions and this one has every necessary feature and does it well.
Nachteile
For me there was a bit of a learning curve after coming away from easier to use software. The UI seems a little dated too.

Vorteile
LiquidPlanner is a great tool to manage the projects irrespective of its size. We use it to manage our small to large projects. The main advantage is that the time tracker is available on it which helps the project leads to calculate and assign resources accordingly. LiquidPlanner also helps us to update the status to our clients regularly.
Nachteile
If there could be an option to send automated status mails to the client about the things/tasks done then it will be super on LiquidPlanner.

Liquidplanner more than conventional project planning
This application does much more that traditional project management for us. We not only manage work, but also resources like staff availability which makes this a huge plus.
Vorteile
Liquidplanner is complex but once you take time to learn it, you will never regret using it. It is well resourced and has great functionality. It stands out from the rest with its rich tracking features as well as resource management capabilities. It has Drag-and-drop functionality which makes it simple to use.It is a responsice application that you cannot go wrong with as a large organisation.
Nachteile
The software doe not come cheap however it is well worth it for what it can do for you. Do not expect to plug and play. You will need to learn it before you start seeing the full advantages of this application.

Where is the O365 Integration
You guys need to write an integration with O365 - we're seriously thinking about looking to move as we need those integrations. Companies like LiquidPlanner that want to remain seeing themselves as a competitor of Microsoft as opposed to a value add are going to limit their audience and potential. The walled garden approach no longer makes sense in today's economy.

Great web application but...
It solved one of the biggest problems for us, managing over 90 projects at once with a small team of ~5 people. To allow our team to manage task, provide updates and work from there. It reduced management time as well.
Vorteile
The solution is great. It can handle hundreds of task and keep everything organized and ordered. The ability to have unique views per team member is also great. Schedule is powerful and is always up to date. You can also have virtual members which are not "seats" and is perfect for clients.
It also have a very powerful API
Nachteile
The interface looks from the 90s.
The mobile app is pointless.

Great for Project Tracking
We are a design/build firm and liquid planner is used to track the project from start to finish; including scheduling priorities in the machine shop. Its been a great piece of software that has proved invaluable to our business.

Does everything we need in one place
We turned to LiquidPlanner as we needed a way to handle a lot of projects and clients in one place, with multiple members of staff assigned to each, all tracking time against different tasks within a project.
LP enables us to analyse staff performance, billable hours logged against a task, project or client and apportion resources accordingly. It's central to our business and also means we can provide transparency and accuracy to clients when reporting on what work we have done for them.
Our staff find it helps them to manage their workload, collaborate and understand dependencies easily. It takes a little time for new starters to get used to clicking the button to time everything they do, but the benefits are enormous for us as an agency.

UI Nightmare, LP has a lot of capabilities but they are hard to locate and ugly to look at
It's best suited for people involved in very detailed multi-person projects and does this job decently (but is still horrible to look at and interact with). I'm sure it does more than I am even aware of, as I try to stay away from LP as much as possible.

Nachteile
Everything else, especially the UI. The tasks are organized in such a way to make precise filing a necessity, which must be done manually by our PM hourly/daily or it gets out of hand. Such a hassle.

Long term user of Liquid Planner
I use Liquid Planner to manage all my technology projects across the entire organization. The tool has worked out very well with my project manager and the people who are executing the projects.
Vorteile
The tool is easy to ease into and doesn't require you to use all the features to use. Once comfortable with the basics, adding additional features into your projects in simple and intuitive.
Nachteile
There isn't a good way to separate business units within one instance of the tool. Either you have to be ok with visibility across business units, or have to maintain multiple accounts along with multiple license costs.

The transparency of the project gives great confidence to all
We are using LiquidPlanner (LP) in almost every project. Besides tracking and reporting progress inside, one of the best things is to keep our clients updated regarding their projects in real time. Such transparency has huge benefit to both side, the clients and the development team.
For clients, they may gain confidence from the project progress at any time. Especially, many of them are start-ups. They relies on the project to develop their business and talk further with the potential investors. The real time update helps to plan their future in a more accurate way.
For the team, LP is used to get real time feedback from clients. Any blocks may be identified and solved in time. And we know what we did is what the clients need and does bring business value to them.
In general, with LP, all the parties around the project get the transparency and are given the great confidence of the success.

Though it may seem limiting in terms of things you can do initially, the deeper you get into the program the deeper you can see things to do much like any program similar to Microsoft excel

From An Interesting Idea To An Essential Tool
I am the principal of a medium sized engineering design consultancy, working mostly in the construction and design worlds. We work on some very challenging and innovative projects, where team work and complexity are everyday issues. We had struggled for many years trying to manage our design work with spreadsheets, project management software, time sheets, etc and so on. We always started off with a great plan, but then found it impossible to keep that plan up to date as projects progressed, and then ended up making do.
When we found Liquid Planner we were intrigued by the on-line accessibility and by it allowing multiple simultaneous users; everything could be centralised off site, and could be accessed out of hours from anywhere. We took the plunge in January 2014 and switched everyone over to Liquid Planner overnight. We developed a simple easy to use system for organising all of our projects in one single space, and it worked straightaway. We developed packages for each person, what we call Now Boxes, in which they shuffle their own priorities whenever they want. We incorporate dependencies to tasks, and so warnings pop up when staff move things that adversely affect task sequences. Time sheets are entered accurately in real time, and everything worked well from the off.
We then moved on to another level and, with some simple customising of the fields relating to tasks, we used Liquid Planner to re-invent our quality assurance system. As structural engineers checking and quality is an essential part of our work, and with some simple tweaks Liquid Planner become our quality assurance system, and has been approved as such by our British Standard Institution ISO 9001 inspectors. In fact they were amazed at how easy and immediate our system was.
Clicking and dragging on the gant chart would be nice. Also the space devoted to obscure things like date shift windows would be better spent on making diary views more accessible.
We love it and are always singing its praises; it is like a member of our team.

Liquid Planner stands apart
I have used LiquidPlanner for managing R&D labs, New Product Development programs, and smaller project management efforts. It is easy to train others on and is great for tracking project progress and actual effort.
Vorteile
Liquid Planner provides a real-to-life approach to project management. I love the way that they use a 3-point estimate for likely remaining effort for each task. This rolls up into a very useful, and dynamic estimate of project completion.
Nachteile
Though there are work-arounds, it is sometimes frustrating that task dependencies are tedious to enter.

Better than more applications I have used to track tasks.

It is very easy to control developer tasks and view their total hours each week.
Nachteile
Some of the Drop Downs (with minimal options) take a while to load. I also sometimes have to hunt around to see what it throwing the time estimates way off for a project. It is not always obvious. I also find it difficult to find the notes the developers include with their recorded hours and these hours are not specific or assigned to a project or tests when I review the timesheets.

Priorities Set Right

The major reasons for us switching to this software was that we needed help in seeing the demands of our product development team. The major pro we discovered was that it allowed us to set and change the priorities while understanding the impact on other projects.

We were hoping to use this to help us resource plan. As it stands, it is great for scheduling and planning but great at allocating different resources on any given day.

The best project management software I've ever worked with
LiquidPlanner is a very complete software for managing projects, time spent, people, clients and analyzing the overall performance of your company. It has a lot of different functionalities. You'll probably never use all of them, since the system is so complete it has different features for different needs of all kinds of companies. We work with advertising and LP is invaluable in our day to day life. Customer support is rarely needed, but when it is, they are fast, polite and helpful. Having compared LP to other project management software, I can say I've never found one that adapts itself to our needs as much as this one.

It's almost perfect, but there are some features I do miss and since it's so complete, sometimes it can be difficult to learn how to use a tool for the first time.

How Did We Function Before Liquid Planner
Liquid Planner has been a tremendous help with our scheduling issues. It allows everyonre to see notes and tasks in one spot. It allows for easy documentation and provides great organization.

I like that Liquid Planner is available from anywhere. I can easily access it while I'm traveling or just working out of the office.
Nachteile
I least like that our clients don't have access. It would be great if the client could see some of the documents and comments our designers make instead of havin g to recopy and email them.

Innovative Time Management & Planning
We use LiquidPlanner for all employees to organize "direct charge" and overhead tasks. The estimating and prioritization approach is different from traditional project scheduling and captures real-time dynamics as you work. The program has helped us manage large task sets, discover organizational issues more quickly, and we have yet to tap into the more advanced features.

Real-time updating and estimating capabilities. Easy-to-use GUI. Timer application. Facilitates team communication within the tool such as attaching files, adding comments, and creating notes. Ability to deep-dive into detailed information and metrics. Timesheet integrated with tasks and charge codes. Prioritization-based tasking saves us time from having to create dependency links between most tasks (you can still do that if you want to).
Nachteile
Discipline required to include unplanned interuption-type tasks, which will push out your "planned" estimations. Charges by the user, so make sure all users are committed to using the tool.

Excellent Project Management Program
There is a lot of keep track of as a project manager, but Liquid Planner helps keep it all neat and organized to prevent losing items through the cracks.

Liquid Planner Review
I have a hard time inputting my time to accurately track my time, but I feel like it does a great job to assign tasks and make sure they get completed.

Ease of timetracking, closing out tasks, assigning tasks. I haven't created an entire folder yet, but making tasks within the folder is easy.
Nachteile
Time Sheet page, sometimes doesn't bring things to the next page without pinning it. Or if you're tracking time for previous weeks you have to go searching for a task.

The best on the Market
I use LiquidPlanner for more than two years and I'm happy with that. It helped me to estimate how much time do I need for every task due to I'm performing very different kinds of tasks each requiring different amount of time. Than it's easier to estimate time needed for tasks similar to those done before.
It also helps a lot to track time worked for different projects and quicly fill timesheets at the end of month.

Does exactly what I need it to do. Could do some things better.
Pros:
1. As a service provider, I find it incredibly useful to manage all client projects and tasks through a single system. Invoicing my clients, which used to take 8 to 10 hours every month, now takes half an hour. The time tracking at each task is fantastic, as is the ability to have different billing rates for different customers. We integrated the downloadable timesheet CSV file into a database to assign our own invoice numbers and produce consolidated reports.
2. Our team is geographically dispersed, with members in different time zones and working different schedules. We use LP to collaborate on tasks, capture notes, and track documents. We've recently started to use Google Docs more than Microsoft Office documents, which we link through each task's "Links" section. We've found this to be a great extension to LP. At the same time, we still often upload documents, especially for version management and published documents.
Cons:
We manage a lot of tasks across a small team. The more tasks we have, the more difficult it is becoming to stay on top of them. The search feature has improved dramatically over the past few months. So that has helped a lot. But, we still find ourselves on occasion creating duplicate tasks, because the original isn't immediately apparent.
The single sheet approach to a task has it's own pros and cons. But in my opinion, having separate tabs for "Task", "Planning", "Notes", etc would be a better approach. It would be even better to have flexibility to add custom tabs, so each task could have multiple note fields on their own tabs. I would use this to have a tab for Contacts, for example, and another for general notes. Ideally, this could be set up as a template, so that every task I create would automatically have the tabs I want.
Managing task dependencies is cumbersome.
Export tasks to PDF is cumbersome (or maybe I don't know how to use it right).

LiquidPlanner - a good tool for project management
Since we use LiquidPlanner, it became much easier to see the time worked on each project and improve our evaluation method.
Vorteile
Once you understand each field, very easy to use. Great way to organize projects and tasks.
Nachteile
For projects with a big number of tasks and many employees working on a same task, the calendar that is built automatically is not on point. Each single task needs to have a deadline date; not possible to build the calendar only with the projetc or sub-folder deadline.

Liquid Planner Review: Tons of Options, Overwhelming to Use
My issues with the software were more how we used it, than with the software itself.
Vorteile
There seemed to be endless ways to use this software. It allowed us to break down jobs into every individual task so that we could see the progress of the work. It was also beneficial to be able to show clients exactly what we were working on and how long it took.
Nachteile
It is incredibly comprehensive which means it can be overwhelming to learn, especially if you aren't given proper training. It is not an intuitive program and you should have one legit expert on your team to funnel questions through.

Customer support is poor.

Compact, ease of use. Package concept is nice, things can be moved around easily.

Awesome Project Planning Software
We have been using Liquid Planner for nearly 5 years and have really put it through its paces as we load it up with large projects consisting of hundreds of tasks. We now consider it to be an indispensable tool for managing our projects. It is very reliable, fast and offers extreme flexibility in managing our often changing priorities.

Ease of use. Performance (it never crashes or hangs)
Nachteile
It would be nice to have a bit more flexibility in reporting that does not always necessitate exporting to Excel.

A complicated management software
If I can spend more time everyday on a project management software, I might give it more stars, I have my workload on a daily base, it is a challenge to figure out the (secret) features Liquid Planner offer. My focus is with the project itself, a complicated system should be able to help me to finish my job, not demanding my time to get familiar with the software.

complicated interfaces, there are terms not easily be understood.

This is great Project Management software
I was able to learn how to use LiquidPlanner pretty easy and it has awesome resources to use. It has a flexible schedule that allows us to use it for what we need. It's an awesome tool for any team!
Vorteile
I like how it's easy for our production team to use! It has complex features, but is easy to use as well.
Nachteile
I wish that it would update in real time. There are priorities that change and changes made to projects that my team won't see unless they refresh their screen.

Liquid Planner for Content Writing and Site Partners
My company used LP for years as a way to track our progress and tasks for site partners and websites. It would point out our contributions and specifically tell our bosses and our partners what was receiving the most attention. It was a great way to distribute tasks, monitor progress, and keep track of my to-do list.

-dashboard feature was easy to understand and update
-the stopwatch feature was a lifesaver
