Ein webbasiertes System für verschiedenste Abteilungen unseres Unternehmens zur Verwaltung unterschiedlichster Dateien mit guten Suchfunktionen. Super ist auch die Nutzerverwaltung bzw. Regelung von Zugriffen, sowie die On-the-fly Konvertierung und das unkomplizierte Teilen der Dateien. Insbesondere die intuitive Bedienung gefällt uns. Außerdem die Internationalität, dass das System in versch. Sprachvarianten jederzeit verfügbar ist. Die Dateien sind im Nu hochgeladen per drag&drop, die Versionierung ist nachvollziehbar. Es kann eine beliebig große Anzahl von Assets verwaltet werden. Und man kann auch Agenturen und Fotografen ermöglichen, Bilder/Dateien direkt ins CELUM hochzuladen.Durch die Anbindung ans Active Directory kann der User die Datenbank schnell aufrufen.

Nachteile

Dass das Konfigurieren am Anfang mit dem Festlegen der Assettypen und Metadaten so zeitraubend ist und man dafür einen CELUM Partner braucht, hat uns am wenigsten gefallen. Das hat enorme Zusatzkosten verursacht, die vorab unklar waren (Thema Budget). Zudem wurden uns am Anfang Konnektoren verkauft, die wir 2 Jahre lang nicht gebraucht haben und die dann nicht mehr nutzbar waren. Das Geld hätten wir sparen können.Cool wäre, wenn man das alles selbst konfigurieren könnte. Wünschenswert wäre, wenn die künstliche Intelligenz trainierbar wäre und sie lernen könnte, unsere Produkte zu erkennen mit dem Ziel, dass ähnliche Produkte auch erkannt werden.Wenn man eine zusätzliche Funktion braucht, wie z. B. drucken oder Massenimport, dann muss man dafür ein zusätzliches Modul kaufen. Schade, dass es nicht gleich integriert ist.

Vorteile

Eine Integration in einen bestehenden Prozess ist nie einfach, aber mit dem Ergebnis sind wohl alle sehr zufrieden. Die Software ist sehr gut geeignet, um alle relevanten Abteilungen in einem Industriebetrieb zielgerichtet mit Content versorgen zu können. Am besten ist abgesehen von den Funktionalitäten, die sich sehr intuitiv via drag-and-drop benutzen lassen, die Möglichkeit der zentralen und geordneten Sicherung aller Assets/Dateien sowie die Verteilung. Die Zeitersparnis bei anstehenden Aktualisierungen auf sämtlichen Kanälen kann jetzt deutlich produktiver genutzt werden.

Nachteile

Meiner Ansicht nach wäre eine Integration direkt von Celum deutlich einfacher als über eine Partneragentur, wie das bei uns der Fall war. Die Abstimmungsprozesse sind dadurch lang und komplex. Vor allem, wenn man im Unternehmen zum ersten Mal ein Digital Asset Management ausrollt. Die Funktionalitäten sowie Möglichkeiten der Software kennen die Entwickler selbst deutlich besser und Celum könnte durch deine direkte Zusammenarbeit Projekte aus Kundensicht vermutlich schneller und einfacher umsetzen.

Vorteile

Unser CELUM ContentHub ist webbasiert und 24/7 rund um den Globus verfügbar, verfügt über viele Keywords und dank der hohen Datenqualität der Assets liefert die Suche genaue Ergebnisse. Durch unsere Schnittstellen zu anderen Systemen wie PIM, eShop und WCMS werden Assets in wichtigen Systemen automatisch up-to-date gehalten. Darüber hinaus verfügt Unser CELUM ContentHub über verschiedene leistungsstarke Download- und Rendition-Optionen und es ist möglich, externen Benutzern eingeschränkte Zugriffe zu gewähren.

Nachteile

Unsere User berichten, dass die Intuitivität des CELUM ContentHub verbessert werden könnte (was vermutlich durch das neue NOVA User Interface gelingt), vor allem, wenn die User den CELUM ContentHub nur einmal pro Quartal nutzen. Darüber hinaus wird die Volltextsuche im Advanced UI von vielen Usern am Anfang nicht verstanden, da sie an die Suche von den großen Suchmaschinen gewöhnt sind. Durch das neue NOVA UI erwarten wir allerdings einige Verbesserungen.

Die verschiedenen Optionen der Asset-Bereitstellung sind wirklich umfangreich und bislang gab es für jeden Verwendungszweck die passende Option/Tool in Celum. Die versch. Bereitstellungsoptionen sind superschnell eingerichtet und immer in ausreichendem Maße individuell anpassbar. Das ist wirklich absolut top.
Auch die Einpflege und Metadatenverwaltung ist für die Fülle an Optionen sehr übersichtlich und intuitiv.

Nachteile

Der technische Support könnte schneller und zielorientierter sein. Und, das ist jetzt aber schon sehr spezifisch, das man keine Versionierung von zwei Assets innerhalb von Celum vornehmen kann (also Asset A und B liegen beide schon in Celum und B soll die neue Version von A werden) ist so erstaunlich wie traurig. Sowas sollte möglich sein...

Gründe für den Wechsel zu CELUM

Vorteile

Unterstützt extrem viele Dateiformate, kann auf die individuellen Bedürfnisse angepasst werden und bietet vielfältige Bereitstellungs- und Sharingfunktionen

Nachteile

Die Implementierung ist deutlich anspruchsvoller als gedacht, um eine optimale Integration in die Marketingprozesse und vor allem zur unternehmensweiten Bereitstellung von Assets zu erreichen, so dass eine hohe Akzeptanz des Systems gegeben ist. Hier ist ein unternehmensweites Projektmanagement erforderlich. Auch für die ständige Weiterentwicklung und Optimierung müssen Kapazitäten und Ressourcen eingeplant werden.

Vorteile

Viele zusätzliche Extensions vorhanden, dadurch sehr gute Integration in viele Systeme "out of the box". Durch API aber auch individuell anpassbar. Keine Problem mit sehr großen Dateien, individuelle PreView für jedes Asset einfach zu erstellen. Umfangreiches Rechtemanagement, allerdings mit Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten was deren Verwaltung angeht. Mehrere Integrationspartner in DACH.

Nachteile

Administration an zwei Orten: entweder über GUI (client) oder serverseitig in den properties. Unterstützung von standardisierten Metadaten nur partiell; hier werden die Möglichkeiten nicht ausgeschöpft.
Die bestehenden UIs sind zwar vielseitig, können aber nur begrenzt konfiguriert vorgegeben werden. Dadurch unnötig erschwerend für ungeschulte Nutzer.

Vorteile

Es ist sehr hilfreich, dass man verschiedene Berechtigungen vergeben kann. Also dass nicht jeder User dasselbe sieht und auch nicht dieselben Möglichkeiten hat, das Asset zu bearbeiten.
Außerdem sind die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten, Assets zu teilen super.

Nachteile

Leider ist es nicht so einfach, unsere Grafikabteilung von dem System zu überzeugen. Das Plug-in, mit dem sie arbeiten, ist leider nicht so zufriedenstellend. Eine andere Möglichkeit mit InDesign verknüpft zu sein, gibt es leider nicht.

Vorteile

Das System bietet als Cloud-Variante eine Reihe hilfereicher Features für unterschiedliche Zielgruppen an.Die DAM-Lösung läuft seit Jahren einwandfrei und funktioniert.

Nachteile

Da wir bisher nur die on-premise Version verwendet haben, war das Hinzufügen neuer Funktionalitäten oder Features meist etwas umständlich. Die Administration im Content Hub über das separate Admin UI ist etwas umständlich.

Vorteile

Das übersichtliche Benutzerinterface erleichtert die Einführung und Schulung bei neuen Mitarbeitern. Die vielen Möglichkeiten des Datenautauschs werden am häufigsten benutzt. Durch zahlreiche Integration können Geschäftsprozesse optimal unterstützt werden.

Nachteile

Detailiertere Statistiken würden es uns erleichtern Aussagen über die Nutzung zu treffen.

Es ist sehr toll, dass man Ordnerstrukturen auch teilen kann und man verschiedene Berechtigungen verteilen kann.

Nachteile

Die Funktion ist ein bisschen kompliziert, bis man es lernt und die Downloads oder das Verschieben könnte ei nfacher sein.

Software ist benutzerfreundlich und verständlich aufgebaut. Das Asset Management ist übersichtlich und die Sharing Funktionen bieten mehrere Möglichkeiten.

My first feature I really like is how easy it is to understand ans use the interface, when I was setting up, it was like a walk in the park, everything is simple and straightforward. Celum helps our organization by keeping our media organized, easily shareable and quickly accesible. We are able to understand how Marketing works including the challenges faced, Celum is helpig our organization address the challenges and by this improving our brand experience. There are lots and lots of features to work with, you will be litterally spoilt for choice, you get value for money. The intergration with other tools is seamless and such a live safer, I get to integrate my calendars and emails and this keeps me on toes for all my projects. Celum has comprehensive and detailed metadata entries.

Nachteile

The pricing is abit on a higher side but with overall perfomance, I would pay for more to use Celum. I love Celum and my whole experince everytime I use the tool

What I like most about Celum is the fact that it's easier to use than other tools in organizing a company's marketing content (it's not limited to marketing content, basically any types of creatives - images, videos, docs, and more). If you've ever worked with Sharepoint, you'll understand how tough managing your digital assets can be, but with Celum it feels very easy to manage it.

Nachteile

As a regular user I can't say I have any cons that burden its use. You do need to have some knowledge of project management to make working with Celum easier, and at times the app can be a bit slow in responding (but I suspect it depends on the internal network).
