For my new website, I was searching for a WordPress form builder when I came across Formidable Forms. It is by far the most effective form builder I've ever utilized. It offers every feature I desired and more. With all of these capabilities, my site is much more professional-looking!

Nachteile

I am not proficient in writing code, therefore I struggle with assignments requiring bespoke code, but there are many samples available, which helps. There is nothing that I dislike. As a volunteer with a full-time job, I just do not have the time to pursue additional self-education.

Setting up Formidable Forms is very easy. Aside from that, one of my favorite aspects is that it offers some ARIA capabilities to increase Google Pagespeed scores. If you have a website that needs Accessibility features, Formidable Forms is for you! From my research, no other form plugins offer this.

Nachteile

My least favorite part is that I can't shorten the space in between fields. This can make my contact forms longer (vertically) than I'd like. They do offer some spacing customizations for padding and margins, but not this specific one.

I bought Formidable Pro back on June 25, 2014, and have used it on every client site I've created since. I moved from Gravity Forms and never looked back. I've tried a couple of the newer plugins, but they don't measure up. Formidable is just so flexible.

I miss the community forums. I liked being able to find answers to my questions without needing to contact support. There's a Slack group now but it's not the same. I like how GeneratePress and Beaver Builder still both have support forums. I hope Formidable Pro brings theirs back one day,

You can pretty much build any kind of application that you can think of without coding (or very little!). It's the most dynamic and advanced form plugin while also being so simple. It's so much more than a plugin too. I've built entire systems for user registration, CMS, application workflows, and more. If you've wanted to build any kind of business application but didn't want to code it, this is a great way to do it. I also love how supportive and big the community is. Everyone is super helpful, there's tons of add-ons, and there's lots to be inspired by.

Nachteile

Learning curve takes a bit to get use to because there's so much to offer. Documentation is plentiful and helpful, but sometimes hard to find.
Layout could be improved to make it easier to find things and switch between settings/menus.

The drag and drop interface for creating forms makes it super simple, but it can be as complex as you want it to be when you get into paginating, conditional fields that only appear when needed, and can even double as a basic shopping cart adding up totals and integrating with PayPal or other services via the plugins they offer.

We've used it from basic RSVP forms, to complex Health Care Plan selections for entire companies. The system is flexible and a great framework to build with. The support is top notch as well! I've been impressed with the speed and responses of the staff on numerous occasions.

Like I said in the title, long time user, big fan! This is easily in my top 5 Wordpress Plugin bag and it honestly makes other forms plugins look silly when I see them.

The ONLY thing I wish it could do was more complex math... but we're talking conditional multiplication or adding together of multiple subtotals of other fields... Things that most users will never run into! And honestly it may be able to handle some of that now as I haven't looked in a while.

I've been using Formidable Forms for about 4 years now on all our websites and enjoy the ease of use and functionality for customization when a specialty form is needed. Their customer service and support is great as well.

Formidable Forms makes it easy to build any sort of form to capture information. It has a lot of field types available and almost unlimited customization options. Form submissions can be stored & displayed, emailed to select people, integrated with dozens of 3rd-party add-ons, or handled with completely custom callbacks.

One feature that would be great to have built-in is the ability to perform calculations on field data before it's stored. Currently that must be accomplished with custom javascript.

I like the simplicity of being able to create forms and add them to my site. I can easily modify these forms once they have been added and can insert them anywhere in WordPress.

What I don't like is that I'm often left wondering why some things aren't easier to do when most of them are. For example, I'd like to be able to easily hide the Submit button at times and make it appear conditionally, but that requires extra coding which I am not fond of doing.

Formidable has allowed us to build several complicated forms for external and internal use. It is feature-rich with a simple drag-and-drop builder interface and many options for fields and actions. Conditional fields and multipage forms with progress bars are some of the highlights. Customer support is top-notch!

Like any software that you want to do complex tasks, it requires a bit of a learning curve and it does require a bit of brain power sometimes to achieve what you want.

With the AWeber implementation, it would be awesome to email surveys or polls to AWeber lists directly, or even to just create emails with the forms. Not sure if that's possible with email, but hey, it would be cool! :)

Longtime user of Formidable Forms on MANY sites, and use it daily. The forms are amazing, but it's the features that seal the deal for me. I use almost everything offered in some form. Conditional formatting, zapier integration, Mailchimp, Woocommerce, Views... You name it, Formidable does it!

It's pretty easy straightforward and simple to implement. Customer support is always incredible.

The only negative for me is how Formidable's media upload folder can get bloated if one uses it to display views with large lists containing images.

What I liked most about Formidable Forms is the new User Registration Repeater. It has significantly streamlined the process of creating multiple user accounts, saving me a tremendous amount of time and effort. I also appreciate the plugin's user-friendly interface and extensive customization options.

I haven't encountered any significant drawbacks with Formidable Forms yet. Small setbacks are quickly handled by the Customer Service.

I can create a customized forms experience for customers in a portion of the time and at a portion of the cost of a developer.

The calculator functions are a bit tricky but nothing that you can't figure out with a reading in the documentation.

The best part about Formidable Forms is that you have the capability to design your forms any way that you want to. You can have your forms automatically notify you when someone fills them out, and you can setup an automatic email responder regarding however they filled out the form. It makes your work easier. Automate your work, so that you spend less time working and more time making money.

Nachteile

The renewal price for the highest plan is really high. I would like it to come down to $250 yearly or less. Otherwise, I may have to make a change in the future. As a entrepreneur and starting out on my own while supporting 5 kids and my wife, it's not easy to continue paying with such high costs.

The infinity of things you can create. You really have no limits, it is not a simple form to receive contacts, it is much more! You can create a personalized registration form, you can create an email list that you will then use to inform your employees for example, you can create personalized pages through a form and much more! Calling it a FORM is really reductive. I recommend it!

If I have to find a "defect" it is the poor integration with page builders like Elementor (the most famous) and the poor integration with SMS gateways, you can only use it with Twilio and it's a shame. But I repeat, it's just if you want to find the "nit in the egg"!

What are the main features I feel the software is lacking he has the ability to connect and manipulate outside databases. I used to be a Joomla guy. There is a plugin for Joomla called Fabrik. It is a super powerful database application development platform they allows you connect to any database anywhere. However the learning curve fabric was terribly steep, i found formidable forms far easier to learn and become proficient with. Will my name complaint, if you can call it that, would be the price. However if a for profit business, which we are not, required these features, it is definitely worth it.

Support was difficult to work with when I did have issues. They would send back solutions unrelated to my issues, if I send downloads or videos as reference they would not watch or download them before answering me, and multiple times their solution was "don't use other plugins." I've only had to contact them a couple times in two years and both times I got the same representative, so hopefully it's not a company-wide issue.It's really a shame, because I love the plugin itself, but that kind of support doesn't give me a lot of confidence when it comes to using it on client sites. Hopefully they can get those issues under control, it has a lot of potential if so!
