Das Beste ist, dass alles fast selbsterklärend und einfach selbst zu machen ist. Einfach und toll! Und das zu einem fairen Preis. Ganz hoch loben muss man auch den Kundenservice! Schnelle Hilfe und sehr freundlich und kompetent. Danke!

Nachteile

Mir fehlen noch Drop-Down-Menüs im Bestellvorgang des Katalogs und noch ein paar andere Kleinigkeiten. Toll wäre noch, wenn man die Grenze um den Klickbereich nicht nur rechteckig wählen kann, sondern auch Ecken wegschneiden kann (z.B. rautenförmig oder rund) auswählen kann, also bisschen genauer ein Objekt ausschneiden kann. Meine Schmuckstücke überlappen sich aktuell, so dass mein Produkt im Warenkorb mit Teilen eines anderen Schmuckstücks zu sehen ist (ich habe keinen Onlineshop, aus dem ich die Produktbilder anzeigen lassen kann). Und im Warenkorb hätte ich gerne nochmal die Bilder der Schmuckstücke zu sehen, auch am Handy oder Tablet, das ist aktuell noch nicht der Fall. Dass man den Warenkorb bald speichern kann ist ja schon mal wunderbar :-).

Vorteile

Vom Kauf der Lizenz bis zur Einrichtung ist alles intuitiv gehalten. Die zusätzlichen Möglichkeiten der Feature Verwaltung von Flipbooks sind sehr umfangreich.

Nachteile

Bislang hat Paperturn alle meine Anforderungen sehr gut umgesetzt.

The ability to make a publication offline, upload it, and have it immediately compatible with all browsers, both desktop and mobile has been a game changer for us.

Making changes by simply reuploading our publication on top of itself is amazing. We can make changes daily and our customers never need a new link, there's no downtime, the changes are just instant and all it takes is up pressing upload.

The realistic approach of actually turning paper on mobile or desktops, the page turning sound, search function, thumbnail functions, all of the little additional things you wouldn't think mattered have made our customers experiencing searching our catalog so much better.

Nachteile

We had a few customers tell us they couldn't access our publication online and after researching the issue we found the server our publication was hosted on was not in the US and their firewall was using GEO-IP to block countries outside of the US. We resolved the issue but be aware that could happen to you.

I love that everything about Paperturn is geared towards being easy to understand, navigate and implement which, for a small non profit is absolutely essential.

We find its functionality very user friendly and we use the statistics tab a lot throughout issues to track the progress of readership.

With every edition we have difficulties with embedding the custom code onto our Squarespace website. For two such leading brands we would have hoped that this wouldn't be an issue but it is.

Blount and Beyond has found a wonderful home at Paperturn. It is user friendly, allows my readers to read the magazine on their phone, computor, etc. It is very shareable. I am so happy I found this business as it is a good fit for Blount and Beyond.

It is really easy to use and allows us to create digital brochure and set live on site in an instant. The links to our site are so important so customers can purchase directly on our website. The analytics are also really useful to us to show which pages perform the best and inform future content.

I have struggled to link into google analytics but that might be more of a google analytics technical issue than an issue with paperturn but further knowledge of the customer journey from when they view the brochure would be interesting.

Besides the ease of uploading material, the bells and whistles that make your publication stand out are amazing. the pop-ups, the embedded videos, and all the other additions make a simple manuscript come alive.

I'm not sure 100% of the rules about using the pop-ups, etc. I need to fully understand that if I upload some pop-ups and later upload a new .pdf with additional pages, does that mess up the previous pop-ups, having to start over adding them back into the updated .pdf?

I love using Paperturn to help my retailers purchase easily just clicking on images to add to their shopping carts. They don't have to use PO forms and product codes and can see faster what they need to buy form us.

I appreciate that new features are continually being added. I have not had the opportunity to integrate them yet, but I am excited about embedding form fill-in's, virtual walkthroughs and photo galleries, etc. In an industry that changes so often such as ours, having one "source of truth" document is so important. It prevents old copies of price sheets or home availability from confusing prospects in their buying process.

Nachteile

I realize it's fully a user error issue, but one time I accidentally deleted a brochure that was associated with more permanent marketing methods such as a QR code displayed on collateral given to homeowners and on-site signage. The Paperturn team was able to quickly re-roll the error, but it seemed as this was just pure luck as I noticed the error immediately. If they would not have been able to do so, this QR would've become useless and no longer linked to the proper content. There's always now just a slight concern in the back of my mind when uploading new documents as this is not an error I wish to make again.

Paperturn was extremely easy to customize to fit our needs, and it remains very easy to update on a daily or weekly basis. The customization options allow the product to seamlessly fit into the rest of our branding. Training isn't even required for new users, it's so intuitive.

First and foremost, we are a community newspaper publishing company. During the coronavirus pandemic we were forced to cease printing our newspaper for the first time in 16 years. Paperturn allowed us to stay in front of our readers and offer our advertisers an affordable option with a digital publication that looked and worked like our traditional print product. Yet, it offered a dynamic element that our subscribers and advertisers really enjoy. We are now printing again but our digital Paperturn product remains a staple and revenue stream. It integrates well to our online platform and we embed it right onto our website.

Nachteile

I love sharing stories via Paperturn through social media, but we can only afford 3 flipbooks right now. So after 3 weeks worth of publications the links no longer work.

For a very reasonable cost, our non-profit organisation has been able to have an annual publication hosted on Paperturn for easy access by thousands of users. The front-end UI is attractive and the back-end management of our publication has been simple and efficient. In the past we have taken down our publications on other portals after a couple of months to save on costs, but this year we decided to leave it up and running because the costs are so manageable. The stats are incredibly insightful for understanding the impact of your publications.

I don’t have anything negative to say in particular. The settings dialogue box for individual publications is a bit ordinary, but it’s functional.
