Our company has really benefited from selecting this software for our start up.
Everything can be built to your needs and some of our needs have been a little difficult. But our Implementation specialist and our Customer Success Manager have been incredible.
If you're reading this and are thinking about using Asset Panda, you really should. And on that note, you should REALLY ask for both of them to be the people that look after your account. There is some inside information for you.

Nachteile

We haven't really come across anything that has troubled us so far. Even being an Australian company and meeting with the team hasn't proven to be a problem, as we find a morning and a matching evening to have our discussions with the build team. They are always willing to help. This really shouldn't be in the "like least" section. But i guess it's something that might concern those of you that are outside the US, like we are.

The integration with Google is great because it allows all of our students to have their own login which we use for submitting Chromebook Repair Work Orders. The ability to automatically generate notifications to administrators when the Work Order is submitted is nice. It was fairly easy to integrate with our existing processes.

Nachteile

The mobile app only shows 3 Asset fields on the main screen. It's sometimes hard to search for and find an asset because you can't see all the fields on the main screen.

This product works well for our medium sized company. We just started using Asset Panda and so far have found it to be very user friendly. We are currently using it for internal equipment and find it easy to use and navigate. The configurations are relatively easy to use once you know where everything is.

The customer service has been outstanding so far. The rep was great to work with.

Nachteile

The app seems to run a little slow and is sometimes a little more difficult to navigate through the different pages and assets. The only other thing is that it times out after 15 mins and you have to sign in very frequently

what I like most about the software is the ticketing side. It allows us to create a database that allows my technicians to go in and see what other guys have done to resolve similar problems.

Nachteile

I think the thing I like least about asset panda would be the creation of reports. I would like to see charts that show percentage of what my guys are creating tickets for. That would be extremely helpful.

We love this tool for our asset management. We are a school with a 1:1 chromebook program and keeping track of loaner equipment and repairs is a tall task. Asset Panda has helped us streamline the system and keep tabs on where everything is and what state it's in. We use the report tool features daily to track students who have loaned equipment due to repairs or forgetting their own devices. This has reduced our overall repair rates and decreased the number of devices lost due to theft and student negligence. The interface is clean and reasonably intuitive. We also use the Google sync and Device Management tools and both of those are working well for us. For inventory purposes, it's a very solid tool.

Nachteile

I wish some features were easier to do on the main screen. Since we have a high volume of daily loaners, it would be nice to check in and out equipment with one click from the main screen. We also tried the help desk module, but ended up going with Spiceworks instead. The help desk works as a way of tracking repair orders, but that functionality is also covered in the main inventory tool. We were looking for a help desk that would provide communication back and forth with our school stakeholders (staff and students). Also, I wish the Google Device Management tool had bidirectional syncing. As it stands that feature works very well; that is just more of a wish list feature.

Vorteile

I like that Asset Panda lets me completely customize my inventory fields and supporting tables (groups). I also like the color coding, love the reporting generating interface, and the mobile app with bar code scanning capabilities.

Nachteile

There is not much to not like. I wish sometimes that there was a little more control over the layout of fields in the update/add page. For example when you add an image to the asset, it bumps down the fields on one side and everything winds up in a different column then usual and if you have a lot of fields it can be hard to find.

It simply works. When we need to make a change, it works just as easily. It's a well perfected product. The customer support is also awesome.

Every now and then we run across a thing we'd like to do that just isn't available yet but it's not very often. When we run into that, customer support usually fixes us up or gives us a workaround. Still, it's pretty rare we find something we don't like.

The Zendesk integration is very basic. I would like the option to set a default field inside of the plugin, instead of only using the Zendesk primary default when listing assets. Our primary default is asset tags in Zendesk, so we only see serial numbers in the Zendesk plugin. This is not helpful when looking for specific assets by name.

I would also like some type of ticket attachment feature. I want to list hardware issues inside of our notes field, but automating this somehow would be very helpful.

I like it because it is a powerful platform for tracking applications in the cloud and mobile that helps you work more intelligently. You also control your basic database schema from the beginning, after implementing the use of Asset Panda, the things became much easier and the user interfaces are used and can be integrated well in almost any environment, no matter how complex it is.

Nachteile

Well I have a criterion under my opinion I think the barcode scanner on mobile devices can be improved a little more likewise If you could increase the waiting time on the website, it would be something incredible.

We heavily used asset management and work order systems with Asset Panda. It made for a smooth integration to track issues related to assets in a clear and easy way. The ability to customize our work order system was the highlight of our use.

Nachteile

It would have been amazing if our Facilities Department could have utilized the same software, but templates for preventive maintenance and invoicing options kept them searching for a different vendor.

- There used to be an option to click over to the next asset when you had a group of assets pulled up from the filtered search. It would be nice to be able to do that again without having to click on the asset tab again and then click on the asset to open it.
- Clicking on the check tabs don't really do anything. You can't open up the assets in groups.
- The scanner option on the mobile able is a little glitchy. You can't really adjust the focus to get a better scan of the barcode or tap the screen for autofocus. I have to move my camera back and forth for the focus.
- Working with the tag generator can be a little complicated too at times when your first starting out without a template.

Vorteile

We have been using Asset Panda for some time now and it has been a real godsend. We started with just asset tagging but are now using the added benefits of the help desk system and that has been great! It allows me to respond to our employee IT needs much more efficiently and people seem much happier with the process.

Nachteile

There have been little things here and there that I would change if I could but they don't affect my ability to be efficient. Other than that, I love the software using the web or the apps!

The UI is very simple for technicians to get a quick grasp of and start using it quickly.
Searching/Editing/Adding assets are quick and seamless.

Nachteile

The UI has changed over the last 1.5 years or so and seems to have settled to a decent one now. There were times when the UX where drop downs would go off the webpage or adding a new person would clear itself, but issue seems to have resolved over time.

I love the barcode option as well as the automatic updates. The notifications and customization are killer features.

Nachteile

Occasional issues with reports. They don't transfer very clean to google sheets.

Great solution, it really is very intuitive, easy to use, tracks and report exact locations, we can use e-signatures, let you know when to replace an equipment, and if you need help they have a great customer support and onboarding team.

Nachteile

Sime minor issues with the dates (only 2005 and on) and some errors with the search in the mobile version. The main con is the price with starts at around $250 per month and paid annually.

This software has a customization for any of your needs. Once I got used to the configuration tool and how fields and status' can link together I realized the sky is the limit. This also is beneficial in the long run regarding how processes and practices can always change, but now I have a solution that can change with us! I am fully pleased with the set up process, it only took 10 days. It probably would have only taken rep 2 days to do everything for me, but I kept changing everything on her. Which is a testament to the benefits of utilizing the implementation team at Asset panda.

Nachteile

This is just personal preference, but I wish things that I had a color code setting for would show up on the mobile app. Example: Available status is set to highlight in green, on mobile app it does not. Not a big deal for me though.

The software provides great structure and capabilities for our business needs and use case. It provides our organization with a platform to support our global asset management strategy, asset tracking, asset operability status, asset location, asset failure reporting and communication, and multiple performance tracking reporting capabilities. This platform's customizability coupled with the knowledgeable Asset Panda staff has been extremely beneficial, instrumental, and a key aspect to continuous improvement within our organization.

Search feature is very straightforward and effective, the amount of filters and information you can provide for each Asset helps with detailed tracking, and the different permissions for employees given on how much they need to utilize the features of Asset Panda makes it very customizable.

The filtering options can be a bit difficult to utilize and sort properly, and the software can lose a lot of its potential if employees aren't utilizing it properly, so reinforcing the accurate and proper use of the software (however your company sees fit for it) is very important.

Once you learn the configuration of the system you can use it for so many things. It can replace electronic signing for assets or compliance... if there is a change in your asset management process its very easy to map in your mind what you would need to change on the system and what links will be affected. I cant say in my years of dealing with asset management that I have seenanything better or easier to use.

The Mobile App is an absolute life saver. If your resource is stretched like mine, with the right processes in place you can mould the system to allow employee's to manage their own assets and take responsibility themselves which is a powerful thing.

Nachteile

Some great features like Gallary or audits are not quite as customisable as I would like.. minor but can sometimes be a pain considering my first point

The phone application. I can quickly open it and scan an asset and see how old it is and where we purchased. Also some repair history as well.

Nachteile

I do not like the login through the PC browser- it never remembers my info (may be a browser issue), but it also won't update my dashboard to open to the asset page. It will for my users, but not for me as administrator. Also, we have never gotten the repair tickets to fully work with our flow. That is more a training issue as the software seems to work as designed.

The best part about this product is deployment which is very easy and straightforward, it makes the product attractive for small to medium size companies.

I was comparing the functionalities to other competitors, and some of the basic functions during creating of assets were missing and I couldn't find a way to customize it as I meant to.

We were up and running in a matter of hours. The ability to import data from other sources. The notifications and reports are really simple to setup.

Nachteile

It makes us log in after 5 minutes. That is a real pain when you are in and out of the application all day long.

Extraordinary experience from working with an account administrator to execution trained professional. This will assist us with following our resources for day camps, studios, and other events. I don't see what is going on where this product wouldn't meet the prerequisites. It is inconceivably adjustable and permits you to record any kind of resource.

My main test is the absence of restrictive fields while performing activities.

We are six separate companies and this software is able to separate all assets between the companies, which is very helpful to use just one system but yet all individually managed per company.

Sometimes the website is not user friendly. A most recent update made it almost impossible to find our Archived items, which we do need to pull out and assign frequently. However, Customer Service is always exceptional in getting issues resolved with video responses and even Zoom meetings for assistance.

Overall easy to implement and use without complicated set up. Most attractive feature mobile Apps to access assets and post updates.

Back when we first moved to Asset Panda, their portal was down quite frequently. They have since resolved the issue and we have not had issues with availability.

Its configuration flexibility, included features, and user interface are unmatched by all. Asset Panda makes it easy to configure a setup that aligns with your company's workflow and processes allowing you to create a powerful configurations that go beyond basic asset tracking giving you the tools you need to succeed. It includes many valuable features at no additional cost where competitors want to charge significant amounts for over their base product. Want to scan assets in and out with your smartphone? Asset Panda has you covered. Their competitors want to know how many users will you have, how many devices do you need, etc, all to charge you just to have the functionality whether you use it or not. Lastly, the user interface is excellent and highly configurable so that you can configure your setup to best meet your needs and the needs of end users not be stuck paying for a system that you need to adapt your business to to make it work.

Nachteile

The only con of Asset Panda is that some may find it lacks intuitiveness. When setting up advanced configurations, a good understanding of how things are linked and how certain fields behave and/or react to changes is required to ensure you achieve your desired result. However, do not let that be a deterrent as Asset Panda will handle the initial implementation of your configuration, and should you want to make changes in the future and may not be sure how or are not comfortable making them yourself, Asset Panda is a quick click or call away to help.

The ability to customize and deploy features as I need. We recently created an action section so that when computers or gear is sent out for repair we can add the repair number and repair cost in the system so that we can track it in a report if we need.
I like the ability to quickly add and deploy gear.

Nachteile

I wish the integration with our MDM server was easier to setup. It would be great to have them communicate so that when we purchase a computer and it is in our Apple Business manager that is sync over into Asset Panda.

My least favorite part of the software is the look and design. It is a little out dated looking compared to other inventory systems.

Not able to change depreciating value of assets from the default of Business years beginning in January and ending in February. For our non-profit, out new fiscal year begins in July and ends in June. We have to do some extra calculations in order to make depreciation work for us.

Asset Panda is easy to use with an intuitive interface and customizable asset fields. The ability to import existing asset lists and scan in new assets is a huge time saver. Even manually entering new asset records is easy since Asset Panda has the ability to copy and then modify existing records, saving me from entering the same fields over and over, such as model numbers. If I do have trouble or questions, Asset Panda support is always prompt and friendly.

Nachteile

It can be slow to pull asset information at times. Reports are also slow to generate. It normally takes 30 minutes to an hour for me to receive requested reports, and sometimes I need faster access to that data.

I love the tracking of our company tools and love all the information that it contains.

I am not a fan of the bar coding. a lot of our tools, the labels do not stay on.. I am not a fan when Panda updates their format and changes some of things that i have found easier the way it was.

Easy to view all assets and their availability in an overview page. Group check out function very useful and time saving.

Barcode scanner very responsive even using part of the barcode or when under a semi transparent surface.

I've included a few cons but these are all minor. They don't mean to demean the software as it is very good, they are simply little observations that, with some minor tweaks could iron out a few issues I have had with the software personally.

Nachteile

Creation of some forms/actions/calendars quite difficult and had to resort to technical support. It is hoped that, over time, competence will develop and so will ease of use.

On the app, when scrolling through assets, unless you scroll very straight the side menu opens to reveal favourites, groups, tools etc.

Filter function for assets is a little temperamental - filtering by category e.g. iPad required IPAD to be typed, this is a little frustrating and it would be helpful that by typing ipad, iPad or IPAD if you could obtain the same result that would be much easier.

Similarly, when searching for an asset without using filters, if the item cannot be found due to minor discrepancies with the text, the system does not seem to allow a return to the list of assets.

At work we call it the Atari of asset inventory. Besides the ease of tracking and inputting our equipment, and checking it out, everything else is too complicated. It's the 1980s tv remote. Too many buttons and ways to do things. I wish it was more simplified, or more like a "fire tv" amazon remote, as we say here.

I really like the onboarding process Asset Panda has. Their people are friendly and willing to work with you to make sure the system works the best that it can. Also, customization is pretty good, so you can make it work the way you want fairly easily.

Nachteile

The help desk needs work, though I realize that is not the main focus of Asset Panda. The client agent software is too expensive in my opinion, especially when you have several hundred or more assets. The "consumables" need to be easier to use, and allow for inventory tracking by attaching them to assets (E.G., a desktop also has 2 monitors and a scanner).

From the beginning the tech team has worked to satisfy all our needs. Any issues or concerns we have are addressed immediately. Office and shop staff find it very easy to use. The mobile app allows us to access things when we are not in the office. The software saves time and makes our company more efficient.

It is very full featured and completely usable "out of the box." If you want to spend some time really customizing it the rabbit hole is very deep.

Login timers are not customizable, and there is not option to "remember me on this device." So I have to re-login basically every time I touch it thoughout the day.

For our small but growing company, Asset Panda is perfect for us to record and track our IT hardware assets as we are able to customize the fields and categories with ease.

We have expanded Asset Panda into other departments to record lab and test machines and facilities. The other departments use it just as much as we do.

The feature of building up a database of our physical assets for our studio as well as our Production team has proven vital to managing how we have adjusted to remote working and maintaining kit for shoots.

Asset Panda is highly configurable. It's really been great for us as a start up to be able to change the configuration as needed to meet our growing company.

The only hurdle is learning how to configure it for what you want. Although, it's not much of hurdle since the customer service and technical support has been so spot on. Everyone I have worked with at Asset Panda has been quick to respond and provided a solution. It's been really great customer service over the last 2 years.

The easy and visuals have when trying to find Assets and the easy option into finding them, from person name to just keywords. Much better than an excel spreadsheet

at times because there is soo much it becomes a little overwhelming for a simple task or rather remembering how to do some basic functions. on the flip side, the Help desk is great so that's what saves this

Simple to use relational DB software, highly customizeable based on needs, simple user interface and includes cloud storage for associated documentation. For the cost I don't think you can beat this product.

Nachteile

As a parent entity, we find it difficult to use this software to incorporate multiple of our subsidiary companies, as they are in different industries, use different inventory and the complexity to incorporate all fields required under one module was quite a challenge. We continue to use the system separately for each of our entities.

I was really impressed with how easy it is to import data into the software. I was also very satisfied with how granular the settings and features are. It allows us to customize exactly what we were looking for in an asset management solution.

Nachteile

The settings are so granular that it does have a learning curve. BUT the support, training and knowledge base already available does counter act this. Searching for a solution to any requirements should be simple.

My overall experience was extremely fulfilling. Every requirement that I identified was met by the software. The support team was very attentive compared with other companies. I was also getting a feeling that the team believed in their own product. They really stand out in the vast amount of options that are available for asset management.
