The Right Database Program for Us
We would love to have Highrise offer different permissions for different users, rather than the one-size-fits-all model. For instance, we'd like certain team members not allowed editing privileges, or certain team members to have limited editing permissions.
Vorteile
It's fairly easy to use and allows custom fields that are important to us. It's user friendly for our team.
Nachteile
There is not a 'read only' option, so team members who try to make edits or updates can mess things up.

Easy to use once set up and the fact cloud based and being continually invested in by the owners.

We don't use all the functions - but that doesn't hinder the way it works.
Constant developments on the software and use is amazing.
Love the App for mobile use - so easy and accessible when out and about.
We have made suggestions and you have listened and updated.
Any queries when we were first setting up 4 years ago were dealt with immediately.

I LOVE Highrise
Everyone at my company loves Highrise. It's easy to learn and intuitive to understand --even for the seriously non-technical employee. The few times that I have needed to contact support their response was swift, friendly and easy to follow. It's WAY cheaper than Salesforce and some of the other contact management databases out there.

Easy to use, easy to learn, easy on the eyes. It has an intuitive design and it NEVER breaks down.
Nachteile
I'd like to be able to run a report on all of the entries marked Clients to see their basic data and the field that I added "Referred By."

I would recommend it!
Vorteile
I have been using HR for 4 years, and I find it to be an asset to the company I work for. The whole team is able to follow customers and projects with ease. I would recommend HR to other companies to enhance their existing customer service programs.
Nachteile
No nice integration with email (outlook) – Adding contacts and tracking general communication is clumsy at best and a huge pain at worst. Many times Highrise refused forwarded emails (one of the ways to get them in the system)

I helped implement Highrise at my new company to keep track of our customers & prospects
I was able to track information on customers and prospects, making my business run better than ever. I could quickly search & see my entire history of communication with a particular individual or organization.
Vorteile
I loved that I could import from an excel file & easily manipulate large amounts of data which made it easy to get started. I didn't feel like I was starting at square 1.
Nachteile
The thing that was challenging was that I needed to make large updates to my data on a recurring basis. It was tricky to make the large data batch updates to my customers without losing small changes I'd made to the data since the initial import.

Highrise is economical and provides many good features. The program allows for ease in putting in contacts and notes.
Nachteile
It is not easy to export data to another source. Does allow for export to Excel, but you are not able to export entire record with notes.

GREAT CRM!
I have used lotus databases, other online CRM's Highrise is the easiest to use of all I have experienced.
Vorteile
Tags, being able to dropbox link email correspondance to customer (person). I like the ease of management of duplications, since we have several employees accessing and adding contacts.
Nachteile
We deal with power companies, over several states. Multiple contacts in multiple cities. It would be nice to be able to search for example : Duke Power, Indiana (or city), then drill this result down by tag. I don't think there is a way presently to do this.

Only for very basic CRM use

HR is fairly easy to use and I've found your customer service reps to be friendly and helpful
Nachteile
The functionality of HR is just not up to snuff for our business. Perhaps most important is the lack of ability to perform search queries based on search criteria/tags. This CRM definitely is only fit for very small/low budget businesses or those with little experience/need for a robust CRM.

Easy and logical, love it! To keep all notes and and details in one place, as well as a great way to view and contact clients. Email feature that keeps email in the account is great, as well as recent views is a nice feature.
Nachteile
There are a couple of overlapping functions that I think could be adjusted. Like having overlapping emails as the same email may own multiple accounts.

Great CRM for small businesses
This is an affordable and easy to use CRM, freeing up time to those important things (like selling). The functionality is basic but really quite sufficient, and that's also why it's very easy to use.
There is no reporting functionality (yet), but there are a few providers that offer deal funnel reporting a.s.o. Also, Highrise integrates nicely to Gmail with an external tool. All in all, you won't loose much money trying it out and I'm quite sure you will be pleased with it!

Ease, above all - CRM is simple - keep track - avoid distraction - HighRise sticks to the basics and leaves the bells and whistle to the others.
Nachteile
We are happy to see improvements in reporting, and activity tracking, but would like to see more. Luckily you can talk to the team and actually see your interests addressed.

Way too much busy work required for what I need, could be useful for a medium sales team
Nice looking powerful system, but it was just too many bells and whistles for what we needed to do.
Vorteile
Highrise is cute and fun to look at as far as contact management solutions go. I liked the way the contact profiles displayed once they were set up properly. I liked being able to save notes on each one.
Nachteile
I felt like the amount of work I had to do to get it set up with all of my contact data didn't justify the end result for my purposes. Since I'm the only person doing sales for our business, sticking with my old address book and notebook just worked better for me (maybe a bit dinosaurish of me but it just works better for me) but if you started filling it out as you go from the beginning of the company or had enough sales people working on the same system to justify it, it could be a great setup.

Highrise-the best CRM with Everything.
The first thing you notice about Highrise CRM is their email customer service. They answer quickly and completely. (Less back and forth emails). The next thing you notice is that they are always, always improving. Coming out with new features.
Vorteile
Good price for a "complete" CRM program!!
Nachteile
No phone support -- but hey -- they have answered my emails very quickly!!

I am not a sales person, I am a developer, but Highrise makes it easy for me to keep track of things. It's integration into email, the way I work, makes it a breeze to use.
Nachteile
I've used software in the past (a now defunct site) that aggregated info scraped from google, twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to give me more insight into the contacts that I had. I would like at least a little bit of that automation in Highrise.

So far so good with Highrise!
A similar company as mine uses Highrise and that's what turned me on to them even though I already knew another popular software quite well and have been a user of it. I liked that I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried another product, it was a wise decision.
Vorteile
I work for a consulting company and I'm using Highrise at a very basic level right now, as I'm starting form the ground up at a company that doesn't have a CRM system in place. It's very user friendly and keeps track of my daily tasks in an easy to understand way.
Nachteile
There are a few details to the product that I would change but that would be getting down to a very granular level that probably just pertains to me and my workflow. The biggest Con I see is that they are a small company and at this point do not have phone support. This perhaps will change with time. Everything has to be done via email currently. However, they are very responsive and will record videos to your specific problem and email those videos to you in their responses.

Because it's by Basecamp, you know it will save you time and money
Vorteile
Highrise is easy to use, extremely intuitive, and very affordable. Highrise is built by Basecamp and it has it's own cult following. If you want an easy way to keep track of your customers and potential customers and you want it to mirror the human experience, and not feel stuck with the process you're forced into by your CRM, then you should try Highrise.
Nachteile
A lot of organizations are used to Salesforce, so it's hard to get people who have used highrise, or organizations that are willing to use Highrise, so even if you like Highrise you may find yourself having to use a different platform based on the organization you work with.

The deals section seems to be for large deals. in our profession our deals are a little different. I wish we could customize for what we need but it's not a deal breaker. The price is so good you cannot complain about functionalities like that.

Valuable means of organising contacts, storing important communication threads and personal notes.

Good contact data base management where I can refer back to important conversation threads which might go amiss in a busy inbox. Also good for a Virtual Assistant to be able to access remotely.
Nachteile
It used to interface with gmail but has now stopped that and will no longer receive upgrades, which is a shame.

Nice and Lite CRM
Vorteile
The big bonus for this system is its API. We hooked up our custom ordering system to it and now our sales people can see all the orders that this contact has. It also ties into Xero.
Nachteile
Navigating around seems to be a little confusing. The difference between contact and business wasn't as clear in the beginning, however, once you do "get it", you can get around quickly.

The system doesn't always have the deep info set that many have come to expect out of CRMs. This is the reason that we ended up leaving for a different tool.

A great way to manage leads and opportunities
I just needed a simple place to track conversations with potential clients and marketing leads. Inputting conversations and information is as simple as blind carbon copying an email address. Setting up contacts and companies is simple. The to-dos are easy to use and follow.
Tracking the value of deals is extremely simple. Everything you need to track personal and team marketing leads without the hassle of unnecessary fields and information that isn't useful.
Vorteile
Super simple to use. This makes tracking leads and marketing contacts easy and fun to use.

I'd like to see some more automation and workflows when a new email is blind carbon copied into Highrise.

Easy to use CRM
It provides me the ability to create and follow up with leads while not having to remember the customer details of each campaign as the notes system is very user friendly.
Vorteile
Easy to import/export contacts, create new contacts, send broadcast messages and manage follow up's with leads.
Nachteile
I wish it had a drip system built in for automated follow-ups. The broadcast email system is a little buggy when replying to messages that were initially send via a broadcast. Watch out as it may try to reply-all when you just want to send to one specific person.

A Great Basic Database Program
We found Highrise to be a program that worked well for us as an entry-level database program.
Vorteile
We found it to be extremely user friendly and intuitive. The tasks and notes features were helpful, and we liked that we could send emails straight to a contact's profile.
Nachteile
There were no levels of permissions for our users. This meant that everyone had the capability to change or edit items accidentally.

I found a product that was simple to use and flexible with data fields.
Fast and simple to use. Keeping data base updated is quite easy with mass update from list suppliers

Two things, the screen isn't taken up up with demographs. its on the right side of the screen the majority of the screen is left for notes and what our interactions are with the client. I can't commit on Customer Support, I haven't had to call them.
Nachteile
I find it somewhat difficult when I forget someone name and there's no company association, it can take some time to look through all the Bob's in the database.

We use HighRise to track all of our clients and events that we attend and host.
Vorteile
Easy to use! Love that we can send documents by email to the event/deal that we are working on. It has become very easy to look at all the deals we currently have pending and fixed.
Nachteile
It would be nice if the tasks were a little easier to use, maybe integrate with Google calendar. I don't use the tasks mainly for this reason.

Excellent Basic CRM

Highrise is very easy to use. The UI is simple and easy to navigate. This is/was a terrific starter CRM. It even supports autosave so you don't lose notes.
Nachteile
Highrise is very basic and can't do things like visual pipelines. It also doesn't do automatic followup at the completion of a task.

Great CRM
I had a good experience with Highrise and was able to complete a lot of tasks using it.
Vorteile
I liked that I was able to stay on top of my client database of over 1K people with this online software. I do believe they are not taking on any more customers though or Highrise is over now.

It could be more user friendly. Possibly making the interface more customizable.

A surprisingly complete CRM

Very light ,which doesn't diminish its range for capabilities . I like that with it you can prioritize files . The Customer Service is always quick to respond and resolve issues .

My only major complain is that the desktop version is very limited in capabilities . Constantly being online for the full product is not always an option .

I stay on top of communications with my clients.
Everything I've wanted the program to do for my business thus far, it has done quickly and easily.
Vorteile
I find this software very intuitive (which I very much appreciate, as I'm *not* a hardcore computer person). I can find and sort my contacts in a host of different ways, easily set reminders to follow up, keep track of whom I've contacted, when I've done it and perhaps best of all, exactly what I said!

Vorteile
It is very easy to keep track of all communications with clients. Even if an employee leaves, we stay up to date.
Nachteile
We do not see what our clients have ordered. It is not easily integrated with our Shopify shopping cart.

Easy to use CRM
Researched many CRM programs until I settled on Highrise. I found it to be the best blend of usability, stability, features and price.
Vorteile
Easy to use! Very well-written software; we almost never come across bugs or glitches. Very aesthetically pleasing. Very easy to input and access data. Very "smart" and does a lot of things automatically that other CRMs require manually. Many innovative and helpful features. The price is very reasonable.
Nachteile
The iPhone app isn't complete - you can do many things on it but not all. E.g we use custom fields and those cannot be filled on the app.

We love Highrise because of its user friendliness, the many features in the meantime (and this is increasing ever more!). Great support team to, very much on the ball!
