Vorteile

Bitwarden is a great software for password and credentials management. It has many features and the good thing is we can use those features for free. It would be a perfect product for personal use in my opinion.

Nachteile

One bug that I still find in Bitwarden is when we use the auto filling feature in browser such as Google Chrome. The password or credentials doesn't appear even though I already hit the shortcut

Bitwarden è un software per la gestione delle password. Uno dei privilegi di Bitwarden sta nel fatto che integra un generatore di password e, al primo login in un sito in cui si è fatto accesso con la password generata dal software, si salva automatico le credenziali. Un'altro privilegio sta nel fatto che Bitwarden è facilmente installabile tramite scorciatoia nei più famosi browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) permettendo così, tramite una scorciatoia da tastiera, inserire automaticamente le credenziali di accesso dei siti che abbiamo salvato all'interno del software.

Nachteile

L'unico aspetto negativo che ha Bitwarden sta nell'applicazione mobile (versione android provata personalmente) che, al contrario dell'estensione su pc, non viene riconosciuta dal browser e quindi ogni volta che si vuole accedere ad un sito si deve uscire dal browser, accedere in Bitwarden, copiare le credenziali e poi eseguire l'accesso sul sito rientrando nel browser.

Una delle sfide che ho riscontrato con Bitwarden riguarda la sua interfaccia utente. Pur essendo funzionale, potrebbe risultare meno intuitiva rispetto ad altre soluzioni disponibili sul mercato. Ci vorrà un po' di tempo per abituarsi alla struttura del programma e sfruttare appieno tutte le sue funzionalità.Inoltre, Bitwarden ha una modalità offline limitata. Se non hai accesso a una connessione internet, potresti avere difficoltà ad accedere alle tue password memorizzate o aggiungere nuove credenziali. Questo può essere un inconveniente per chi lavora in ambienti con connessione instabile o limitata.Infine, Bitwarden offre un piano gratuito e un piano a pagamento. Mentre il piano gratuito è sufficiente per la maggior parte degli utenti, alcune funzionalità avanzate sono disponibili solo nella versione a pagamento. Questo potrebbe rappresentare una limitazione per chi cerca una soluzione completamente gratuita senza alcun costo aggiuntivo.

Bitwarden is extremely easy to use across all my devices, my phone, on the browser and on any application that I want. My top favourite features are autofill, 2FA, and that it can automatically match URLs based of several methods such as host/domains.

The baseline of bitwarden security is on a master password for encryption, so in case you loss or forget the password there is no way of recovering it. This puts more emphasis on remembering and securely storing your master password.

Vorteile

Bitwarden, rispetto ad altri Password Manager è meno popolare. Certamente meno popolare di KeePass, LastPass, 1Password ... ma questo aspetto lo rende preferibile da chi vuole essere sicuro e convinto di adottare un Password Manager poco esposto a possibili attacchi e tentativi di compromissione. Non mi risulta, ad oggi, che Bitwarden sia stato oggetto di compromissioni cyber (cosa invece occorsa a LastPass). Ottimo il fatto che sia utilizzabile da computer (versione desktop e stensione per browser diversi), da smartphone/tablet via APP e che, la versione free, pur essendo a costo 0, offra tanto in termini di sicurezza e funzionalità.

Nachteile

Rispetto ad altri Password Manager sarebbe da migliorare l'aspetto (UI) che risulta un pò grezzo. Ma, per utenti IT medio-alto è perfetto così. Inoltre sarebbe da facilitare la modalità di condivisione credenziali con altri e da introdurre l'informazione della data di creazione/memorizzazione credenziale nellla cassaforte di Bitwarden.

Bitwarden, pur in versione free, offre tutto quanto mi serve: gestione credenziali e memorizzazione sicura delle password, facile ricerca delle password, categorizzazione delle credenziali, generatore di password con impostazione complessità impostabile, send text e file-documento in modalità sicura, MFA, fruibilità everywhere and with any device.

The best thing for me was to have all my passwords at one place. Don't need to remember or recover them.

Nachteile

There are some drawbacks. When i log in in the new device, i always have to chose region. It is not bolded or clearly visible, so when entering password often get message "bad password". But it is because i try to log in to a wrong region account. It could be clearer. And the thing with Fitek system i mentioned before.

Beside the fact that Bitwarden is completely open source and validated by security companies, it has a ton of functionality that really improves security at home and within an organization.

Nachteile

I can't really tell a lot. Sometimes I had to initiate the sync manually when I had to use the password between devices, but that is usually rare.

You can quickly find what you're looking for because the interface is simple and well-organized. Even if you can create as many folders as you like (which is useful for managing different projects), the search box will help you find whatever you need without needing to scroll further.

Facile e intuitivo, tante opzioni a disposizione per salvare qualsiasi tipo di dato e password. Buona la sicurezza e la velocità di apertura. Personalizzabile e molto facile da organizzare. Ottimo per tenere tutti i dati dei account e credenziali in un solo posto.

Non sempre si apre l'auto completamento dei dati, nel primo utilizzo di default non chiude dopo un tot di tempo l'applicazione per salvaguardare i dati. La sincronizzazione a volte deve essere fatta manualmente.

Bitwarden è un ottimo servizio, sia free che a pagamento (con più funzionalità), per la gestione delle credenziali e password sia on-premises che in cloud.Molto utile il plugin per il browser che permette di sincronizzare la cassaforte delle password tra tutte le applicazioni (plugin browser, cloud, app desktop, ecc.) e soprattutto l'autocompletamento dei form di login.

Nachteile

Alcune limitazioni nella versioni free (ad es. possibilità di condivisione di password, funzionalità di export). Un po' lenta la app android e la GUI molto basilare.

I appreciate this being open source and audited by a third party. There are many, many features that cover most aspects of password/identity management. There are so many options for client access, it's amazing.

Nachteile

The types of entries are somewhat limiting. You can store secure notes, credit cards, and logins. It would be nice if you could create custom options or import other templates, which is something that competitors have. Because of that, you occasionally have to shoehorn into a category that isn't quite accurate. For example, adding a Wi-Fi network. It doesn't fit the way Login is presented and using a Secure Note makes it difficult to quickly copy the info back out. Also, I really wish they would clean up the organization and collection paradigm. It's really confusing and always the first place users end up stumbling trying to figure things out.

Bitwarden does a great job of working with nearly every website and app. And when it doesn't automatically add username and password (some sites won't allow it), it is quite easy to copy and past them from the app or browser extension.

I wish that when you manually add a password that it would save automatically, rather than having to hit the save button, or at least ask if you are sure you want to quit without saving.

This is the best alternative for LastPass I've ever found and I love the fact that it is open-source!

After LastPass changed their terms for Free users I started to see for similar tools as an alternative that would fit my needs, then I started to saw a lot of opinions and reviews over the internet, so I tried it and immediately loved it!

Also the transition from LastPass to Bitwarden was very smooth and quickly! After 2 mins all of my passwords were imported successfully to Bitwarden, I highly recommend this one!

Probably the UI/UX could improve a bit more, other than that this product is awesome! Actually, a refreshed UI/UX would just be a plus, as the service itself totally worth it!

La version gratuite de Bitwarden propose de nombreuses fonctionnalités, mais il manque certaines fonctionnalités avancées telles que le stockage de fichiers sécurisé ne sont disponibles seulement dans la version payante. De plus, avec la version gratuite, si vous oubliez ou perdez votre mot de passe principal, vous devrez créer un nouveau compte car il n'y a pas de moyen de récupérer ce mot de passe.

Non ho riscontrato particolari inconvenienti o problemi durante l'utilizzo di questo software. L'unico aspetto negativo riguarda l'interfaccio grafica del programma, che non ha un aspetto moderno e in alcuni casi può risultare non del tutto intuitiva.

It is extremely easy to setup, holds an unlimited amount of passwords (i currently have saved around 400) and let's you create even credit card pre-fills or save Adresses. So i usually can directly login to a website and let Bitwarden fill out everything else with just a few clicks.

Nachteile

On mobile devices sometimes Bitwarden's Trigger doesn't work. That's usually when an In-App Browser is used and Bitwarden can't destinct between the shown Browser Page and the App. So in such cases you usually have to go to the Vault directly and copy your credentials to your clipboard.

Login notifications are welcome. iOS extension built in and works pretty well, although not as accurately recognizing URLs as the native extension.

Nachteile

The interface can be clunky and some keyboard shortcuts can be added. For example easily editing or replacing a password.
It seems like a webapp packaged in a container, rather than a native macos app.

BitWarden is free, and has the ability to allow you to self-host it in your own premises. This is a feature a lot of password managers do not give. It's usually either local or on their cloud. Bitwarden is the only one that allow you to host it locally on-premise.

Nachteile

The UI is a little dated and not as polished. Using it is also a little bit wonky, having a separate plugin and the standalone software is a bit confusing too.

Vorteile

It is a very intuitive program, easy to install because you can use it from the desktop, the web browser or from the cell phone. It has very interesting functions such as the generation of secure keys, being able to export all your saved data or, for example, being able to create sections of different keys and also create shared folders to share keys. The self-locking system is very interesting for those people who may suffer the risk of being left open. In the case of the cell phone, you can unlock it with your fingerprint without the need to use the master key, so it makes it very comfortable to use.

Nachteile

The most important against that I find, which at the same time is its greatest point, is that once you forget the password, you have no chance of recovering the account. This can be a great advantage if you are neat and have the keys well stored or a big problem if you did not save the key correctly. But this is more of a problem for the user than for the application itself.

Bitwarden has a clean interface, it's super simple to use, it's open-source, it's free, it never tries to pressure you into upgrading, it syncs beautifully across all kinds of devices, and it integrates great with Android's autofill feature.

I have no complaints at all about Bitwarden. So far, there's nothing I don't like.

Easy to operate, solid peace of mind. Not really for business, this home use program generates and saves long, randomly generated passwords. Ones that theoretically would take millions of years to hack. Just one less point of attack I can defend, for cheap. This program does the job well, just a single click to enter a very safe, unique password on a website. Simple and intuitive methods to control password requirements, access and lockout settings, and online vault storage.

The directions can leave you confused. New password generation could be easier.

Por el precio que tiene, no le he visto ninguna pega!!!Me facilita mucho el trabajo ya que tengo mas de 300 contraseñas distintas.

One standout feature for me is the ability to use things like base domain and regular expresions to match login URIs. With logins you can also add custom fields to be filled - particularly useful for something like an AWS login, where you need to provide an account ID as well as the typical username and password. Nachteile

The way attachments are handled needs a rethink. Creating and saving a note before editing it in order to add a file isn't a nice experience. A new category alongside notes would improve this. I feel the interface could do with some modernisation but that's obviously subjective. Overall it does feel like an efficient product.

The time it took LastPass support to even come back to me on a query ruled them out of the process. 1Password were a close alternative choice but the more competitive pricing offered by BitWarden won out.

The fact that Bitwarden has open-source code and is very clear about their tool and what they are doing. The free option is enough for most people but even the paid version is very cheap for what it offers you. The phone app is great and very easy to use!

Nachteile

Compared to some other password managers, Bitwarden doesn't always recognize when a new password is created and therefore doesn't offer to save it automatically.

Easy to use and manage. Security features are very good, easy to access passwords and copy and paste as needed.

There hasn't been any time when I've used this product that I've wished it had different features or been frustrated with it.

For a start it "just works" and that's a baseline for any software I use. It works on my desktop, laptop (both Apple) and my phone (Android). It uses biometrics on the devices that have it. Oh, and it's free. Really hard to find a reason not to love it!

Really can't think of anything? I use it all day, every day. It's part of my workflow. I've been using password managers for over a decade (at least) and paid for many different ones. But now I don't have to. Thanks Bitwarden team!

Bitwarden is an easy to use Password Manager. It generates secure passwords to be used during logins online and offline.
It also offers mobile application and browsers extensions. While on a browser, the auto complete feature is very useful, since it identifies the website and the login form and automatically add username and password.

Nachteile

For mobile devices it has difficult to auto complete the login forms for when using a browser apps like Chrome. This is due to Android limitations but directly impacts on the user experience. In these cases it is common to copy passwords using the clipboard, which is not ideal, since other apps can read the content of it.

Easy to use, fast synchronization between devices, secure encryption, able to generate a strong password,s and best practice for sharing it. Password history is a good feature.

Nothing to change, for now, it is a great tool.
