The possibility to seamlessly collaborate in teams within the same board in real time. There are no bugs or delays, even if multiple team members are using the same functions at the same time within one board.

Nachteile

The layer management function is very complicated and a bit confusing. Using shortcuts or the "bring to front" button often doesn't work properly.

Vorteile

It is an easy and smooth tool to get accustomed to. Very useful as a collaboration support, especially during video conferences with remote collaborators.

Nachteile

The tool is rather expensive. We do not use all of its features, but still have to pay the full price. It's a pity there isn't a lower-priced package with only basic functions.

I like the integration of Miro with other tools such as Slack, Google Drive, and Zoom. This allows me to keep my workflow centralized.
Miro's sense of whiteboard platform is designed for teams to brainstorm, mind map, and collaborate visually. This can be a much more engaging way to work together compared to traditional text documents.

Nachteile

I don't like its limitations to offline access and cost. sometimes you don't use all features but you have to pay the same amount. So, it is expensive.

What I like the most is that is easy to deploy and use and can be used by multiple users at the same time. It is great to visualize data, and brainstorm about new possibilities.

Miro's infinite space is really helpful for the research / audit parts of my projects. I am able to put so many links and notes onto the boards without getting bogged down with design. My background is in design so sometimes over-designing stops me from just flowing, but not on Miro. I love the way I can drop links onto the board and it shows the headline and key pic. I love the way I can see where teammates are on the board. I love all the items I can place onto the board like sticky notes, lines, arrows, charts, etc.

Nachteile

I wish I could turn on "invisible mode" or something so that I could browse the board without a teammate seeing that I'm on and without me seeing that they're on. This will take away the pressure of feeling like I am being watched while I work. I also wish there was a way to put the board in "low res" mode or something that would keep the board from getting so slow when it has so many links and stickies and such on it. Lastly, I find it confusing what team my boards are on or what team I've made or what account I'm logged into.

I love the endless flexibility, myriad of templates available, the real feeling of being pretty much in the same room whiteboarding with so many people at the same time when you work remotely. I love the flexibility to add notes, create a new section on the fly, etc., while locking certain areas that are basic for the rest of the team's understanding of the task, which is critical to make the meeting effective. I love the breadth of visual elements to create flow diagrams, wireframes, scoring ideas, or whatever it is that you're trying to do. That's the beauty of Miro.

Nachteile

It requires some learning of how to use its full potential when you're new, such as locating useful templates, or learning how to lock/unlock sections/objects. It was a bit confusing for brand new team members who had never used Miro before. But that's only temporary of course, as more experience colleagues would always explain that quickly on a call. Just something to keep in mind when lots of people are unfamiliar with Miro: keep it simple the first time.

The best thing about miro is one the size and how it is as user friendly as it gets. The zoom out function of the miro board allows for multiple projects to be worked on at once in a single space. This also helps when multiple teams are involved but require linking

Sometimes it can get stuck due to the large amounts of users in at once however this has not been a huge issue as this rarely occurs

The real time and freedom also allows individuals to mess things up. IE, moving notes, reorganizing things, or adjustments that affect the whole board.

I like that it is so easy to use, works flawlessly and is optimised. I made the diagram and can turn them into slide-ish where I can present them to my team/stakeholders. A lot of good templates so it helps getting started.

I wish I could export it to various formats like PDF, SVG etc.

Our company does not have a dedicated UI/UX designer, so the job of UI/UX design falls to our Product Managers. Tools like Figma are great, but there is a steep learning curve. Miro is our one-stop tool for UI/UX design and allows us to turn an idea from brainstorms to wireframes to high-fidelity designs.

Nachteile

Miro doesn't have a good undo feature. At times, I'll make big changes to a board by mistake and I'll be unable to undo the changes.

One of the standout features of Miro is the vast amounts of templates for specific workflows that it provides you with which boosts efficiency.

It would be great if they added more options for exporting content.

Sometimes it was a not so intuitive interface to navigate and I would struggle finding the function I was looking for.

I like it’s easy deployment to mirror screen onto a large screen and more suitable for presentations given to work team members.

It was a little difficult to properly cast onto a larger screened device and required a couple of extra steps. I’d prefer just a simple mirror screen button similar to what Apple provides to AirPlay on devices on your local network.

Miro is a great collaboration tool for whiteboarding and brainstorming. Easily put up stickers as a group on the board, save, collaborate and form your idea with a team. We even use it when the meetings are in-person, because you can then save it and continue in next session from where you left off, and not just online meetings.

Nachteile

I would like to be able to export the stickers, add attributes to them, to convert them to some structured data after the brainstorming is completed. But this is not always necessary for all regular brainstormings, so it is not a deal breaker.

I love the ease of use, how straightforward it is to use and all the nice functions in addition.

I don't like that I have to click to switch from move to select mode. There should at least be a button combination like adobe

It’s extremely flexible to use, no one requires an on boarding as it’s very intuitive. The new talk track feature helps to add more context to boards without the owner needing to come and explain.

I cant think of any major cons, other than my colleagues sometimes complain it takes a long time to load. I haven’t faced this challenge.

Miro is probably one of the best and most intuitive idea/collaboration team I have worked with. It is a lot of fun to use.

The has very good feature for collaborating with the company members. The diagrams are easy to understand and is very representative. The support team is very fast and reponsive.

The lack of a simple polling option is something I find lacking in Miro. A polling mechanism connected with charts and graphs would make updating charts and adding integer values to tables more efficient.

It's a great way for everyone to see where the project is at any given time, which helps with visual communication. It can be accessed from anywhere and on any device, and it's a breeze to use. In short, it is a useful tool to increase efficiency within the company.

Nachteile

It would be nice if Miro's wireframing made more sense; I have to constantly resize icons to make them seem right, the layering is a pain, neither the mobile nor the desktop template are included, neither of which is ideal. When all else fails, I just manually capture the screen.

I love how versatile it is and all the tools for collaboration. I can document user journeys and engineers can create workflows and we can share with team members. It just works really well.

Price is the biggest downside. Paying per seat makes it hard to get more use out of the tool because I can't collaborate with as many people as I would like. You have to sign up to participate. You can bring in guests but often we would accidentally add paid users when we actually just wanted guests. It felt like a gotcha.

I was introduced to Miro for the first time while attending KAOSPILOTS+Berlin Summer School and it was one of the 3 tools we had to use every day during our sessions. Miro offers a vast canvas to capture, express, and work on even the biggest ideas. There were 25+ of us working on assignments, sharing ideas and notes, and Miro thrives in that all those creative minds can still leave a clean canvas behind. Brainstorming, workflow, organization, communication, and teamwork would be the keywords to describe Miro.

Miro provides lots of templates to help learn and understand how this platform works. In addition whole platform is very intuitive. It was very easy to integrate other products we already use (e. g. Microsoft Teams). Miro is the most complete tool for management. You can create boards, mind maps and flow maps and customize them. It offers powerful diagraming tools including process maps. The real time collaboration features allows teams to work together in real time.

Nachteile

It’s difficult to find anything to complain about Micro but sometimes uploading materials such as videos might take a while.

Miro smoothly allows real-time brainstorming sessions, planning tasks and idea exchange. The whiteboard is interactive making it easy to apply creativity to collaborative efforts making collaboration in remote work super easy

Nothing as such. It can be sometimes slow to use due to internet connectivity

I am using Miro mostly as a canvas for ideas and thoughts, both while ideating and also later on while working on end products. It is simple to use, and with the "endless canvas," you can continue your own sessions forever. It is also very easy to use to define systems diagrams and general block diagrams which I do very often.

Nachteile

I feel some small but important features are still missing, probably on purpose. These include 1) the ability to choose your own fonts (and not from a predefined list); 2) the ability to define a default font for a board, and; 3) the ability to export panels and objects as PowerPoint objects to integrate in external slides.

Miro is a very versatile tool, which let's me develop graphics, take notes, work together with my student in real time etc. It's great for online lessons!

Nachteile

I needen a moment, to get an overview of all the features. Not everything was completely intuitive, but if you take the time to explore, you'll get the hang of it!

I do like many of features that Miro has - prototyping, workflow management, ideations, proccesses, statuses, brainstorming. Is there something that Miro cannot do?

I do not see any cons that Miro has, so overall I am really satisfied and in Miro I can handle whatever we need.
