Shortcut makes project planning easy and allows my team to work together to easily tackle large projects

Nachteile

One aspect that can be improved is the weighting system. I would prefer the option to better set custom weights for the type of issue (bug vs improvement)

Vorteile

Shortcut requires almost zero learning curve. It provides easy agile project management with no cumbersome extras.

Nachteile

It would be nice to have a task-level board (in addition to the current story-level board) to be able to see the status of tasks quickly.

Shortcut lets me track my tasks across projects with ease - in fact that's a core piece of what they do. I've struggled with tools like JIRA in the past that force you to jump through hoops to see tasks across multiple projects, which is a really frustrating experience as a company of one who is constantly shifting between stacks.

Recently they deprecated their native mobile app, which I found to be disappointing.

Shortcut is easy to use and simple to implement. Individual contributors can track requests from other team members, and it becomes a largely functional to-do list, as well as a project management software.

Nachteile

I wish there were a way to indicate levels of responsibility for a task, instead of just one person or a list.

This is an adequate task management/tracking software. It has a fantastic Zendesk integration and multiple customizable fields. It also boasts decent search and filtering functions but it isn't particularly user-friendly and filling out all the fields that make it function well takes a great deal of time (hence the title of this review).

Nachteile

There are no AI/smart suggestions for related epic/team fields so every time you make a new ticket you have to search through them by scratch. They also don't offer a great tag database or tag definitions so you have to create naming conventions separately offline. You also can't use rich text in story descriptions.

You get a great overview.
It's super easy to create / edit story's.
The start page's overview is nice and gives a good heads up.

It can be confusing where you create a new story at first.
Since there's so many features, you can easily get overwhelmed.

How is it easy to work with a team (adding people to epics, milestones, and stories) and the ability to move around priorities as new things come up.

Not a fan of the metrics but they don't hamper anything. Some overall metrics about milestone timelines etc would be nice.

Ease of managing tasks, including editing and updating. The integration with Github is excellent!

Nachteile

I feel most of the user base is not on mobile, given the nature of the application. However, I feel the mobile app is slow and crashes multiple times. Other than that, I've not had bad experiences with the software

As a designer, I love the Figma icon displayed on the kanban board if your card links to a Figma file. When working side by side with developers this feature makes visually separating tasks easy.

Nachteile

I think the dark theme is too dark. I would like more customization options.

Nothing. I would never choose to use this product after doing a proper comparison of similar tools.

Backlog management is almost non-existent. There's no good issue filtering. Prioritization isn't a first class concept either. Epics can't be linked via dependencies for larger roadmap planning. This puts the primary focus on the team and people instead of the project, which is critical for any useful issue/bug tracker.

As an engineer I love the close integration with github. It is very helpful to have my PRs and cards so closely linked and better help my team understand their progress as they make their way across the board.

My least favorite part is that the layout can seem a bit convoluted at first. It took me a little while to get used to how everything works on the user interface. I'm not sure that there's a good fix for this as all of the features and filters are very useful, there are just a lot of them and it can be intimidating, visually.

Clubhouse is really build with software development projects in mind. It has many ways of displaying the items that teams are working on, and powerful filters to keep the workspace from getting cluttered.

Nachteile

It is something that takes time to manage. You have to check in with your stories and epics regularly and make sure to keep your information updated. It's worth the time, however.

Clubhouse is extremely simple and intutive. It doesn't force you into certain paradigms or organizing your workspace to their specific way. It's a really flexible tool that works really well and gets out of the way.

Probably my least favorite part is that it doesn't have a concept of a sprint built-in to it, but this is not really a deal breaker. It's really easy to just create a label that defines your sprint and apply that label to all the stories that are in your sprint.

I like that it's easy to see chunks of work organized, whether it's in iterations or epics, etc. Since my team works on a weekly iteration, it helps to use the iteration view for the day-to-day to know what we're working on as a team for that week.

Ticket creation is pretty easy too if you have the categories set up for projects, type, etc. I think it facilitates easy organization.

Nachteile

Sometimes if I keep a tab open, it refreshes but doesn't take me to the same spot. I haven't encountered this too frequently, but it is a mild pain point.

Easy to use and less complicated than Jira while still being full-featured. I love that work-in-progress comments are saved in tickets before being officially submitted. Great tool for team communication and project management.

Nachteile

Like any work tracking tool, it needs to be well-maintained or the backlog quickly becomes outdated.

Clubhouse allows us to run our projects exactly the way we like. Its features are quite extensive (starting from a kanban base, which I love), it's fast and its filtering is great.

Nachteile

I'd love a mobile app, and it'd be great to have a stronger and more visual representation of the relationship between projects, epics and stories.

Manage projects in hierarchy using EPICS, STORIES and TASKS, and be able to label them based on your firm's development process (example: sprint_5, design_discussion, etc.) and define different phases anyway you like, such as Backlog, Development, Review, Deployment and Completion. Then you have different views of the projects at any time, like Report, Status.

Nachteile

I wished there could be a way to attach an identifier to each of the tasks, in case that one would use it when checking in the code or communicating with others

It is not very intuitive how to find your team/project. By default there are tons of selected checkboxes and to scroll through them, unselect, select what is required it is a challenge.

I like the ease of use and intuitive nature of the software and its user interface. I use Shortcut for and by myself and I think it fits my workflow well.

Nachteile

The mobile app experience wasn’t great when I first tried. So, I have only been using the website. Not sure if that has changed since.

The tools in my workflow are quite varied and I prefer it that way. So, I didn’t want to use PM tools that forced me (not literally, but still) into using a specific version control platform like Jira and Bitbucket, for example. Neither did I want to be constrained to using GitLab or GitHub project management tools which would require I stayed within those platforms.

It is very easy to use. I really like that it supports Google authentication and that other than simple cards you can create Milestones and Epics. We are very early adopters of Clubhouse (and even wrote a post about why we moved from Trello to Clobhouse) and it's incredible to see the amount of new features and integrations they have came up with in so short time.

Nachteile

Nothing that I can think of. The experience on mobile was poor at some point, but it's been hugely improved in the past year or so.

We have been using this tool since few months and can easily track and reporting project activities for specific projects and clients

- The software is so flexible that defining the "right" way to use it is very difficult starting off.
- I suppose this is a risk with any software in this space, but there is a danger of losing items if they are excluded from all your standard views. This means that you have to build a view just to look for those lost items. We call them our "Oops" queues.

It's easy to use and makes tracking of tasks super easy.

There's no color coding system so can't differentiate between a hot priority and low priority

I like that they provide you with so many different views of projects. For example, I can easily track burn rate for projects, individual contributor process, story progress, etc. It is feature rich, yet lightweight. I have never found myself needing something that Clubhouse couldn't offer.

There are plenty of features that are user friendly, but you are not locked into using all of them. You can use only what you need and keep things simple. Also, searching and filtering is very robust.

Removing a workflow after it has associated stories and other references is not straightforward and requires jumping back and forth between screens.

I mostly use the Stories view in Shortcut -- it helps me manage my work and understand where my various stories are in terms of our review and deployment process.

When I create new stories, if I do not add an iteration or an epic, sometimes they seem to "disappear" -- our PM still finds them for planning, but it is hard for me to find them again.

Shortcut is essential for my team to track requests supplied to our data team. We are able to understand the pipeline of requests, what is the expected completion dates for the requests, and prioritize ruthlessly.

There are some new tagging features that are required that have made it a little more confusing. It may be user error, but it was a change from the previous version.

- It is very simple and flexibile to the engineer and non-engineer (me) in terms of updating
- It enables quick updating to single or multiple stories
- It allows us to scale across different team structures and org designs
- They seem to iterate and introduce functionality steadily

Nothing really that I can identify. I would say that the reporting could use some more work in terms of surfacing insights on how a team can be work better together.

It's very easy to use. I have used other similar software for project management in the Agile process, and this has all the best needed features without all the complexity. Just the right amount of features to make our team productive and integrate with other tools. Our entire team really enjoys how it works, and planning is simple with how we use project, epics, and milestones. Also the price for our small team is great for our small growing company.

Some of the integrations with 3rd party tools like slack are not fully flushed out and I wish could be a little more granular. There have also been a couple of occasions where it wasn't clear on generating some report data for a very specific

Clubhouse makes it easy to create cards from templates, to follow cards I don't own, and to track progress on larger projects with epics of collected stories. The Slack integration keeps the team informed, promotes visibility of work progress to teams, and reduces reliance on email updates. I recommend Clubhouse to every small business owner I know.

I like how dynamic and flexible the software is. I can customize workflows using projects and stories in a way that matches how I think about my work. My teammates or other teams can use other features I don't use without interrupting how I'm structuring their work. There's no one way to use Clubhouse and each style is not mutually exclusive. Everyone thinks about product development differently and Clubhouse allows you to stay organized and collaborate regardless of how you think about it.

Clubhouse was a little confusing at first. There's a lot of features and functionality. Once you're past the learning curve it feels like home.

I love being able to track everything in one spot. It's easy for multiple teams to use and communicate using Clubhouse. It's awesome!!! They keep making awesome improvements too. It's great to see a company investing in updates that users want. :)

In the beginning, it was a bit difficult to get the hang of, but it could have been because I was not used to using this type of app!
