It allows us to be informed
It allows me to always be informed and have the information always at hand because sometimes it happened to me that they sent us an email with the event information and I forgot. However, with Whova, their reminders are perfect.
Vorteile
When there is an event, activity, or training, we can be informed through Whova very quickly and easily. The notifications always arrive very correctly and we can interact virtually as well. I also like that I can view the events and activities that they schedule in an orderly manner with the date and time

Good for networking
i enjoyed it, it was an extension of my conference journey.
Vorteile
social media aspect of connecting with people of mutual interests. I messaged a lot of new people on the app, people in the sector who responded back.
Nachteile
the display of the sessions needed a bit more mobile friendly viewing/UX design. i was overwhelmed at times, not always, by the need to pick among four sessions and being unable to view the full titles to make that decision.

I much prefer an app when sorting through the sessions I plan to attend. I like that I can add items to my own agenda from the full agenda.

Great experience using the Whova event App
It was very helpful and user friendly. I would be happy to use it again for future events.

The app helped me prepare and line up networking contacts prior to my arrival. Excellent approach!
Nachteile
It would be nice if my contact profile carried over to every part of the app. After I filled out my profile, it seemed there were additional areas I had to re-enter the same information for sharing quick connections, etc.

Conferences done seamlessly!
Whova is awesome! I have used it for 3 years now.
Vorteile
Whova is such a great app that can be used for conferences, events, etc. It has features like photos, polls, direct messaging and more! The calendar/ itinerary for the conference can even integrate with your phone calendar so you can be sent reminders before upcoming session with guest speakers. Genius! Truly award winning event management.
Nachteile
No complaints about Whova. It is great and I would continue to use it.

Whova: Take control your conference experience!
Overall, I really enjoy using the Whova app. It really enhances and improves my conference experience and also allows me to access materials post-conference, continuing to be of benefit!
Vorteile
Ability to review agenda (by day and time) for entire conference and to select then review my agenda separately. Also, the app supports interaction with an easy to use and reliable poll / survey option, and, being able to access materials for my sessions immediately and to view information on the speakers was great!
Nachteile
There weren't any features that I disliked about the app. However, I did not use the networking option very much.

Coach Camp 2024 via Whova
Vorteile
The Whova app simplified my experience at coach camp. I knew about meet-ups I could attend with colleagues. Reserving a spot for a session was just a touch away on my phone. In conjunction with the app, I received emails from the organizers. The emails included information from agenda to items people lost.
Nachteile
I did not participate in the social part of the app. It was a personal choice as I attended with a group I planned to be with.

Whova is the best app for conferences and events
For my business, we expanded our contact list and landed new clients with the help of Whova. As the conference organizer, Whova is invaluable. Easy to use, easy to access for all attendees as no paper forms or pamphlets are needed for the agenda, great tool for networking, etc. I would not do an event without Whova.
Vorteile
Whova keeps all the attendee's up to date on what is going on, is easy to reference for the agenda, and is extremely strong on networking and getting attendees to interact.
Nachteile
Not all attendees actively use Whova, but that is not an issue with the app.

Loved it. Was able to utilize the app for all of my trainings and if I did not wish to lug my laptop around, it had everything I needed at my fingertips. Also allowing me to access the notes, handouts, presentations and participate in the Q&A without my computer.

Highly-interactive and networking-enabling app
Whova is my preferred event app. It has the basics down (floor maps, agendas, etc.) but excels in networking capabilities. Granted, the other visitors have to contribute to make it successful, but the app provides plenty of tools. Direct messaging, polls, and questions to visitors or organizers are all there and are mostly easy to use. I can also view the visitors a few weeks before and four weeks after the show, which is super helpful for preparation and collecting leads.
Vorteile
I do multiple trade shows per year. There are a few event apps, but I am delighted to see the event using Whova. This app has the networking part figured out. A few days before each show, I can start networking by messaging other visitors and creating discussion topics (e.g., ask the locals for restaurant recommendations or start discussions around the subject of the event/industry). The gamification to get high on the leaderboard is another way of getting attention. During the event, the app provides real-time updates.
Nachteile
The UI could use a bit of an overhaul. It's not necessarily intuitive, and I still find myself in situations where I'm lost ("Where was this poll again?"). By the end of an event, I have it figured out, but I only use the app a few times a year. So, that familiarity degrades before the next event.

I love Whova! All around great experience when using at my conferences.
Vorteile
I love the many features Whova offers. I have used Whova a handful of times when attending my annual conferences, and I love it. My favorite feature is that you can create your schedule in the app by selecting the sessions you would like to attend. With that, you can also see the session speakers and access the presentations before you attend. Helps keep me organized and even gave me access to the information presented after I returned back from the conference.
Nachteile
If I am being honest, I really have no cons to leave with this review. Whova is a very solid company.

Amazing Addition to any Event
Overall, I highly recommend the app to anyone facilitating a large event with multiple panels and speaking engagements. It made the event feel more personal. Its a great way to keep people hyped about the event and also create a buzz around all the events and meet-up opportunities.
Vorteile
As an event attendee, the Whova app played a pivotal role in my attendance. The app allowed me to prepare well in advance, get familiar with each speaking engagement, and connect with other attendees. All of which, really encouraged my involvement with the week-long events. One great opportunity was the virtual meet-ups that I was able to create. Also, the leaderboard was a great idea. This kept attendees coming back to the app every day if not multiple times a day.
Nachteile
Really, the downside was more technical issues. App refresh issues, continuity between app and full website, and things of that nature. Not being able to click on a user's name or photo within chats to get to their full profile. Things that would make it easier to navigate. One major issue was when I set up my virtual meet-up I was not able to find info on how to facilitate. I need to plan things out, so I wasn't sure how the meeting would go. And, quite honestly between the time I made the meet-up to the night before, I forgot that the Whova app would be able to host the virtual meetup so I decided to host it on Zoom.

Keep it coming
excellent, but like I said, would like to see more for the more experienced advocate. Those who have been on the front lines for a long time. Maybe a support track to discuss with other long term advocates. Not just the touchy, feely quiet rooms.

Great App for Your Events
I would like to say my overall experience with Whova was easy and fun! I was able to connect with other attendees, RSVP to meet-ups I was interested in attending and also connect with those who were staying at the same hotel. I also really liked that there was a place in our event area to find all the pre-orders for the authors attending and the official bookseller for the event. There were so many ways to keep in touch through the app and I hope more of the book conferences I attend decide to use it. It was a smooth and painless process to navigate. I highly recommend.

I liked the ease of the app and the ability to connect with other attendees both before, during and after the event. Everything for my event was contained in my event details: seating chart, books for sale from the official bookseller, pre-orders from the authors, the ticketed authors and their numbers during the event, photos we wanted to share (pre-event, during and after the event), polls, listing of the authors/narrators attending and the community feature where we could connect and set up meet-ups.
Nachteile
It took me a little bit of time to find my QR code for the event. It was a training issue for me. I should have realized that the QR code wasn't event specific, but person specific and found in my profile.

Great App - Easy to Use!
Overall, Whova is a great platform that I've used for work conferences. I enjoy the many different features such as the schedule (that you can add to your personal calendar right from the Whova app), the notifications when a session is starting, speaker powerpoints/materials available for download, community messaging board, and more! Great app!

my overall experience with the Whova app would be that I really enjoyed using this app. It was a fun way to interact with the attendees. I did enjoy using it, but I felt like I was on my phone 24/7 trying to get points to be ahead of people, that I just stopped trying to be in the "TOP 10"

the thing I liked most about Whova was that it allowed us to interact with everyone who attended the conference. it made you step out of your comfort zone and join in on events without actually having to join in, which some people have a hard time interacting with people they do not know.
Nachteile
since I am new to the Whova app I can't say that there was anything that I liked least about it. It was a learning experience. but if I had to choose something, it would be that it took away from the learning experience from the event. People were more focused on earning points through the classes and it could also be a distraction.

Great Solution (especially for the price)!
Overall, I highly recommend Whova. In spite of some of the challenges, it is still one of the strongest tools available for the cost, and is very user-friendly. Their customer service is very helpful, and the product does continue to improve.

Whova has a wealth of features for a very low cost. It is a great solution for a clean, user-friendly registration system and app, that is still friendly to budgets. The app specifially is very easy to set up and use and has great engagement tools!
Nachteile
The back end system has a few quirks that take time to learn, and can be a little frustrating if you don't recognize them in advance. The menu system and where tools are located for admins can be a little confusing, though once you learn it, they are easy to use. Our biggest challenge is managing attendee records after they have registered; it would be nice if admins had more options for changing and updating their info, or using "admin-only" fields. Similarly, the difference in "attendees" vs. "registrants" can cause confusion.

Whova is great!
This was actually the first time using it at a conference. I really enjoyed it, and made note-taking super easy, since I was able to take pictures and then add them to my OneNote immediately with the notes I typed. The ease of the information of the agenda, the speakers, and the attendees were really helpful to connect with them after the app.
Vorteile
Whova allowed me to easily see the agenda, and the speakers with their bios and Linkedin capabilities made it really easy to network. I was allowed to chat with them in the app, and thus meet them at break or after the days end. Conferences are just about networking, as the information presented.
Nachteile
Connect to a computer app or online software, so that information is easily integrated between the app and the computer. If this is already a capability, then it was not well informed. I use OneNote for all my notes across all my domains, and it's helpful to copy, cut, and/or paste as needed from one to the other.
Also, I didn't see an option for a separate networking event (where participants can create an event or event link) in case there are get-togethers at the end of the day after the completion of the agenda. I think this would be good to post something (like a FB) that would draw others interested in networking with that group or organziation. This would be something the conference organizers may not have planned, but nonetheless beneficial to all involved.

My experience with the Whova App
I am excited and happy for the opportunity to have used this app. It is such a relief concerning event planning and management.
Vorteile
Whova offers opportunities for planning and networking. In the 2024 TBT symposium, I was able to create my schedule from the main agenda and included networking opportunities with other participants based on where we studied and worked. I had a plan of which session I needed to attend and the room numbers where I needed to be. I am also happy with the possibility of taking notes under each session in the agenda.

Beware of Use
We will not be using this app again and I recommend that others don't use it either. The sales folks are very much about the upgrades and will nickel and dime you for every small add on. The help desk folks try to be helpful, but are up against the tremendous limitations of the system. This is overall a product that is engineered to make money rather than support the success of the users. We knew this going in and were happy to pay for some add ons, but others were not communicated at all at any point during the process much less in any help or FAQ documents.
Vorteile
While there are some pros, the cons by far overshadow anything good about this app. I was excited to use Whova as I used it as an attendee for other events. However, from the admin side, things are not as pleasant.
Nachteile
There are many features that cannot be turned off. There are emails that go out to attendees without notice. Definitions vary from the proposal stage to the implementation stage: a speaker is also considered an attendee, although they may not attend and just need to be listed on the paper presentation. The most frequent response from their Help Desk begins with "Unfortunately..."

This was the first year that I really used Whova. I attempted to explore and use all of the features. Using this app was so much neater than lugging around reams of paper schedules throughout the conference. It was really easy to select what agenda items that I wanted to attend. I also like the ability to take notes for each class (agenda item). Using this app was very intuitive and easy to navigate.

Everything that was on the PC version was on the mobile app. Whova was truly a "secretary in my pocket".

Handy and Useful!
Such a handy tool. I wish every conference I go to would use this! I loved having a one stop shop for the event. I felt connected before, during and after attending. The app was easy to use, kept me on track time wise and I always knew where to go which can be difficult in a new space.

Excellent! It made our participation in the meeting so much easier and satisfying.

The QR scan for leads is a huge benefit for an exhibitor.

Whova for conferences - paperless programs
Easy to keep track of the sessions I wanted to attend.
Vorteile
I like the agenda feature. I like the ability to attach documents to the various sessions for attendees to refer to later. Fairly easy to use.
Nachteile
I would prefer to turn off some notifications- it was all or nothing. It would be really great if the daily notices from the conference admins were more notified in a different way - a bigger splash or something. I also think the "personal interests" needs some more customization opportunities for participants. Pre-covid travel was the only travel option - makes it sound like I don't like traveling now. Also "day trips with the hubby" is rather limiting - I'm a widow and I love day trips by myself or with a friend. Why not just "day trips" (or it might have been weekend trips) - write-in options could be nice, too.

Don't plan a conference without Whova!
A very positive experience.
In the two weeks before the conference, I was able to create my 'booth' for others to find out more about my business.
At the conference, everyone I spoke to was happy to share their QR code (when I showed them what to do!) therefore, I had all of their details (including email addresses) for contacting them on my return home.
Vorteile
As an exhibitor looking for business, I have found that conferences offering the Whova app are way better than those without. Prior to the conference, you can make links, see if there are particular people you would like to factor into your time and you can arrange meet ups with groups. Being competitive, I can't help myself but like to be on the leaderboard and message those around me!!
Using the 'scan a contact' feature was brilliant! Unfortunately, the organisers didn't know about this feature to tell us until the second last day but we definitely made good use of it!
Nachteile
When arranging a meet up, your numbers are limited to 50 at a time and you are only allowed to offer two meet ups until you have four people having replied to say they will be there. At a conference with 1500 attendees, being able to message just 100 of them isn't enough...particularly when some people clearly weren't looking at their app so that invite was wasted!

Ease of usage
I would give it an 8, just for the length of time it took me to find the sign-on page.
Vorteile
The quality of video, the sound and color is very clear and rich. Assigning self to the workshops and a visual of my agenda was useful.
The sign on was difficult from remote location as I connected through my work email. In the past an email was sent with the link, click, sign on and connect.
Nachteile
How we signed on to the meeting. We had to go to a website, and find meeting and sign in with matching a picture.

Whova makes my life easier!
I attend other conferences online throughout the year, and the Whova App is the only app where I feel as though I am actually at the conference. The chatting between colleagues, the question boards, and chat rooms all give a connected feel that I cannot get with any other conference app. Thank you!!

It is very user- friendly and easy to figure out. When I am stuck, I can get help easily and quickly.
Nachteile
My experience with Whova is limited to the National SCL Conference. I have no complaints at all with the Whova app. It gave me everything I needed to attend the conference and experience the benefits it offered. My only regret is that the SCL does not offer all of its workshops on the Whova app, so I have to be happy with limited options. I imagine this is probably due to the cost of streaming or recording the workshops, so they probably have to limit what is offered. It would be nice to be able to access all of the workshops.

Event Management Done Well
I’ve attended 7 or 8 virtual conferences through Whova and always found it easy to use and keep track of where I needed to be. Communication with other attendees and speakers is easy. I enjoy using the app.
Vorteile
I am an attendee so my answers are from that perspective. Whova is easy to navigate and find information I need to decide which sessions I want to attend. There are mechanisms for sending questions to the speakers ahead of time. There is a good social platform so that attendees can do virtual meetups and see who else is attending. It is easy for an attendee to create a discussion topic or recommend and article or conference. Entries to questions and polls are propagated quickly through the system so there is no confusion about whether I have entered a response to a poll. I love the Leaderboard function. It encourages attendees to post on the platform and is a nice distraction from the serious nature of the conference.
Nachteile
There is limited ability to respond or add anything other than text to most questions. For example, I wanted to let fellow attendees know about an upcoming conference but my only choice was to enter text to describe it. I had some graphics from the PR Kit associated with the conference that it would have been nice to upload but I could not find a way to do that.

Hooray for Whova
As a user of Whova, there are several benefits that I feel would be great for any organization who wants to manage an event with several attendees. As mentioned in previous comments, I really enjoyed the agenda and networking capabilities of Whova.
Vorteile
I really enjoyed the agenda feature in Whova. As a person who likes to plan ahead, it's important for me to be able to organize my day and know what's ahead. Using Whova, I could not only see the entire agenda for the conference, but I could select which courses/workshops I wanted to attend and create my own personal agenda which filtered out the classes I was not attending.
Nachteile
Honestly, there wasn't much I didn't like about Whova. If I had to pick something, it would be the hundreds of notifications I could receive throughout the day. But there are ways to turn those off too... so it's not all that bad. However, if you're one that likes to clear out all the red notification marks, you could potentially spend a lot of time going through the app.

Whova Great Application
Excellent Experience, I would like to use it again in the future.

It was an easy app to access and navigate. Liked how I was able to personalize it with a profile picture and information about myself to share with other participants and presenters. Liked how participants were able to interact with polls and questions presented by the presenter rather than having to blurt out responses. Liked how I was able to select what presentation I wanted to attend and converted it to my agenda/schedule for the day. The Map was helpful. I liked how we are able to post pictures. Excellent App to use.

Networking fun
I have used WHOVA for the last 2 years at the Elevate Derm conference. It is always one of my most favorite things to do is get on the WHOVA app and see where all the attendees are from. I have met some really great people via WHOVA app. Conferences are usually very large and sometimes it is hard to connect. WHOVA makes it so easy.

Keeps everyone up to date on what is going on through out the conference.
Allows us to be engaged with one another.
Great to have important information all at our finger tips.
Nachteile
Sometimes when we are in WHOVA point wars, it can get a little over whelming with notifications, however the point wars sure was fun throughout the conference.
