Es gibt mehr Nachteile als Vorteile. Der Kundensupport ist absolut nicht brauchbar.Datenschutz kann man mit Squarespace nicht umsetzten. So ist es unmöglich einen Kunden zu löschen.

I loved the versatility of use and ability to change the overall image of my website. That I could implement many pages into it, from blog posts, to a page of recommended items with links to purchase. Open up a store to sell items.
There was an abundance of templates and the ease of access for others to access the website with strict permissions to make adjustments.

Not all of the templates were exactly what I needed.
When I tried to add images from my own computer they wouldn't always line up accordingly and were stuck in a very segmented grid.

I didn't like how it was a little more complicated it was to set up. To be fair I didn't watch the video's but it did take me a minute to learn how to set everything up. But, way easier to set up than coding it myself.

The interface is sleek and user-friendly. I didn't find any struggle getting from starting to building to editing. It was a smooth sails. Some buttons are named a little different than what I'm used to, but was never a problem.

Sometimes, it gives a feeling of being in a straight jacket. If I use a template, then certain things are not editable. I like to have the functionality of starting from scratch but that's not the value proposition of squarespace.

The thing I like least about SquareSpace is how locked down the templates are when it comes to currency. It has been very difficult for me to provide a clear currency experience as I have people who buy internationally and there is no where to add the currency to an invoice.

Squarespace is an excellent no-code site builder. It has an easy to use visual editor making it flexible to create aesthetically layouts without constraint. It's quick and easy to start a site with a range of starting templates but can easily be adapted and expanded as your brand grows.

The settings list can be somewhat overwhelming when editing branding of theme settings due to the amount of options and how it's laid out. Greater visual heirarchy could help improve users navigation.

We have been on Squarespace since 2010, that should tell you how long we have known them.

Initially it was a tightly knit community with customer care, even though we are in Australia, they usually got back to us on email ok.

When they got bigger, the service and quality was gradually downgraded. They would make changes to their framework without much customer support which meant parts of your website didnt work.

Their SEO has also always been on the lower end based on rankings we have been getting.

For the past 2 weeks, they have taken our website down, after nearly 14 years of being their customer. They wont tell us why and they wont tell us how to fix it. I have lodged ticket after ticket. They just dont respond period.

Dont waste your money, their focus is to get as many people signed up as possible rather than caring what happens afterwards. They are just a marketing funnel and they will happily leave you when you need any kind of help

Customer Support and customer care which simply does not exist at all in this company. I dont understand how hard it is for them to reply to simple emails

Squarespace revolutionized our ability to fundraise. We have multiple events per month that take place off site, either at churches or other venues. The primary goal of these events is to raise funds. We have reached a point where very few people carry cash, and even fewer carry checks. In order to capitalize on the good will we generate at these events and maximize the raised funds, we need to be able to immediately accept donations. Squarespace lets us do that, with a transaction fee that is similar to the standalone card reader we utilize at our office.

When we initially began using Squarespace, we encountered some pushback from people who were hesitant to hand their credit card over to us with our phone in hand. However, Squarespace has continually provided updates that address these concerns.

The amount of professionalism this added to my business for the minimal cost is unparallel. It elevated my branding in a way I did not think was possible without hiring professionals. I could use a template and not feel like I had to compromise my creativity and vision which was a huge concern of mine. If anything, it enhanced both and made me so proud to present/promote my business.

Only con would be that it does not offer a free plan like the competitors do.

Square Space to me is still the best tool out there to get a website out quickly, but it does have quick a few things lacking still (see below).

It has a good amount of templates that you can customize really easily, but they do all look a bit templately still.

Nachteile

1) The mobile view cannot be adjusted. Anything you edit from the mobile view will affect the desktop view. I think Squarespace should take a page from UnBounce who lets to optimize the mobile side separately from the desktop side.

2) There needs to be more ajax and jquery type animation functionality to help the website look less templately. Any type of animation is essentially no-existent outside of galleries fading in and the text underline.

3) I don't like how Squarespace is constantly spamming me to upgrade to the eCommerce plan when I'm not making a eCommerce website. They've even added an error icon next to one of the templates I'm using now. This is very annoying.

Vorteile

Squarespace offers a widely versatile range of pre formatted templates as well as easy to use formatting. Its therefore suited to website designers skillset level (beginner/intermediate/advanced). I was able to design my website from blank canvas quite easily using their recommended design combinations as reference.

Nachteile

I do wish I could upload my font files to enable unique fonts and more variety.

I really did enjoy creating my website with using Squarespace. The initial setup guide is a great tool, to get you started. It was very easy to add custom pages, elements and change the site style. You don't need a ton of experience, as they make it so easy to embed calendars and other files. The domain module is so easy to use, they do make that almost dummy proof.

Nachteile

The font system needs work. You have to set your font system in your site style and can only have 3 font styles and you have to use them or you have to change your entire site style font system, but that changes the edits on the website you already saved. While the site style is easy to edit. You should be able to just change the font. I also think the customer service is lacking. They haven't been very responsibe luckily I figured out my issue on my own.

They have help resources for just about every topic, sometimes you have to dig a little to find what you are looking for but can usually find it.

Easy to use, navigate and to setup. I've been using Squarespace for about 6 years now. I built a website from the ground up using their tools, was able to change up the background, UI, design easily with the tools. Also, I was able to add a page with password protection and its an amazing product.

I guess with every website design template, there are limitation was our imagination. I just wish I was able to setup a forum for discussion or a subscription based type of product but I don't think they have such option.

Proprietary platforms are not something I recommend to any client. The lack of control, the ability to move your content elsewhere easily, the lack of a testbed, the inability to customize some of the code, the fact that you are bound by their terms of service rather than your own are just a few reasons I don't recommend it for anyone serious about building a business online.
