Smartsheet could be smarter
I used it when required but would rather use excel or google sheets.

Pricey but smart!
Given there are a lot of similar software for Gantt charting and project management out there Smartsheet is indeed smarter and better option still.
Vorteile
Smartsheet has a very familiar feel to it, it's so close to excel thus it is easy to use and understand.
Nachteile
I think it is a bit pricey compare to other free counterparts plus some excel formulas do not work with it.

Great product, great pricing
I worked on a design team at a large university, and we used Smartsheet exclusively for project management across several departments. The ease of use is definitely the best aspect of this product. Typically, the user interface on these kinds of products stalls out or slows down when multiple people are using it simultaneously, but Smartsheets stays current and refreshes almost immediately when someone else is on it.

I really like how the system has templates you can start off with. Smartsheet also has a very comprehensive how to section that allows you to basically ask what you need and you will be given a post on how to do it.
Nachteile
I guess my one complaint would be that the interface could use more color.

New user struggling to fully adopt Smartsheet
Vorteile
If you take the time to set it up, the critical path button is very handy and a great visual tool. The help videos are well done.
Nachteile
Not widely used. The screens are a bit busy with buttons across the top and to the right hand side., paid plan verses say Google Docs, free.

Great for Closing
I feel that the ease of the software provided a good source for me to be more efficient with my time and accomplish more tasks. Was able to communicate with the entire group that needed the same documents to collaborate a smooth transaction.

I like the ease of using this software and the ability to upload multiple files right into a closing checklist. This works well if you have multiple parties that need to access documents quickly for a closing or acquisition transaction.
Nachteile
I am not sure about the security features within this software, which was a little concerning that information could be shared with outside sources that should have access to that information.

Great team product with built in training
Great tool to help the accidental PM succeed.
Vorteile
Very easy to use, intuitive. Great templates. Excellent articles on best practices such as how to use a RACI chartv and symptoms of when one is needed.
Nachteile
Can't track time worked on a project so no time reporting. Minimal agile functionality. Sites reporting wasn't intuitive.

Great and easy to easy product
Vorteile
Easy access. Easy collaboration. Easy to learn. There are also a lot of help services. I was able to learn the software in less than an hour. Whenever I had a question, I was able to search it and find an answer within 2 minutes.
Nachteile
The product could have more features. The report function is very useful, but I wish I could customize it more into a comparable chart. I would also prefer if I could change the colors of the bars in the gantt chart.

I love using this for gantt charts. I was struggling to find a web-based platform to use for project management and this fits the bill.
Nachteile
Sometimes the software can be a bit slow. Not sure if it's my computer or if it's smartsheet so I could be wrong on this.

Awesome Project Management Tool to keep track of progress
Smartsheet was a great value add to out tool kits from collaboration and project management perspective. It has all the required critical functionalities needed for a tool and the best part of it is how easily it can be shared and the fact that it on the cloud. The load time is really because of your internet connection and not because of the product. It gives us a good understanding of where the project is, what are the risks, when are the milestones and who are the key resources.

Smartsheet: affordable & collaborative project management software
I recently worked at an organization who used Smartsheet in almost every department to handle everything from event management to an IT ticketing system to basic to do lists. It made me think of other organizations I've worked at who spent too much time and money developing (or purchasing) project management/ticketing systems...seems silly now that I know about Smartsheet.

Works very similarly as excel does. The neat thing about this program is that you can assign cells as tasks to individuals.
Nachteile
It's not as easy as one would think. Their promotional videos really sell you on the product but ultimately might not quite be as user friendly as one would think.

Great free tool... until it expires
As someone who has used Microsoft Project for years, I was looking for a product that I could share with colleagues that would be easy for them to use without needing to understand Gantt charts and similar tools. I really loved it, but didn't realize that I would have to begin paying after 30 days. I would not pay for this product, its value is a free tool.

SmartSheet keeps all of your information together online
I used SmartSheet when I worked for in the accounting department for a construction company. I updated the books using the tool, and SmartSheet made it easy for those with access to see the numbers and information I recorded.
Vorteile
I liked that it was online, and worked similar to Excel sheets. Those with access could easily view or edit the information I entered.
Nachteile
Entering formulas in sheets was not easy and did not always save or automatically apply to certain rows or columns.

Great collaboration tool
Smartsheet is great for group collaboration especially when there is distance between people. The only downside is that someone could tamper with a document and the wrong information could be relayed to the group.

Nice product but costly.

Provides awesome management tool. Gives many functionalities to maintain the product development, human resource, any project management system etc.
It gives various functionalities like file attachment, Gantt chart, calendar view etc. You can share the sheet with other users and the sharing will include comments simultaneous editing of the sheet.
We can manage tasks in row hierarchy using collapse.
Customer service is good.
Nachteile
Little slow than other tools.
Offline version Of Smart-sheet is not available.
It is Costlier than competitors.

Project planning becomes smoother with Smartsheet
Vorteile
I will give full points to Smartsheet to help with project planning. The tool has a number of interactive options which can be helpful for planning the activities required and it helps managing the timeline for projects. My team can be assigned with activities and it shows the tracking of tasks as well.
Nachteile
Since its a cloud based App, so third party integrations are very limited. Sometime we need a number of integrations to manage different tasks.

A number of tools exist to help collaborate with your team to manage the tasks. But smart sheet works on a unique approach. It has great collaboration and activity management features. It provides security to only allow authorizes users to access the data and custom reports. Works well with managing projects.
