Super easy interface for both admins and users. I also loved how we could personalize the company cards, and how quickly and easy to track the cards were sent. When I used Ramp I worked at an entirely remote organization with employees in over 20 states and it made it so easy.

Nachteile

At the time when we unveiled Ramp (early 2023), we had to put together a lot of documentation for our users, but I'm guessing by now they might have more robust templates to use for this purpose. No major complaints and this one wasn't the end of the world.

The onboarding was weak to non-existent. There were webinars to watch.
The Support is mostly done by communicating with bots and is very frustrating.
We were putting up with the above until we were swamped with dozens of fraudulent charges. We has no assurance that Ramp would protect us and we still don't know how many of these fraudulent charges will be properly dealt with

Ramp is perfect. The ease of uploading receipts, tracking mileage, splitting charges to certain expense accounts. It works so well.

Nachteile

Nothing. There is nothing wrong with Ramp at all.

The ease of managing and reconciling charges through the mobile app instead of having to wait to get to a computer to upload receipts and enter detailed information for each charge. Manage as you spend - it's great and easy!

Nachteile

The inability to have multi-functioning roles within the ramp system. This would apply to an administrator who is also a manager and cardholder.

It would also be nice if Ramp had a quicker method of communication such as instant chat instead of email. It would just be more convenient for time-sensitive questions.

The ability to require receipts and memo's be recording quickly has saved us many administrative hours in hunting down purchases. It has also saved us the lost receipt problem that we encountered with the more antiquated system we used to use.

Nachteile

I think the thing I like least about Ramp is the amount of sales people calling from other companies to try to take us away from Ramp.

As far as functionality is concerned I disliked nothing, there has been one negative but i dont think it is RAMPs fault. I have had my credit card shut off and replaced about yearly.

Ramp is very intuitive and integrates well with other financial applications. The expense reimbursement platform has eliminated countless hours for our sales and customer service teams to focus on their clients versus administrative work. The internal controls and spend programs on ramp are well documented and places strong internal controls within the accounting department.

Nachteile

There is nothing I can say I do not like about Ramp, but only enhancement would be able to pass prepaid amortization journals to QB. If an expense is paid within Ramp via CC or BILL function, it can be coded to prepaid account, but the amortization journals have to be posted in QB. A strong control and time saver would be for Ramp to create the amortization rules and pass via API to QB to post.

Our employees are getting invoices in timely allowing for better company reporting and quicker external reimbursement requests.

Signing up new employees for cards is confusing as multiple ways to do it. Also not happy as one set of bank statements I have to load manually each month as they are in a treasury account not connected to you all.

We really like the automatic receipt matching for transactions, the visibility of ensuring that accounting requirements are met, and the real-time tracking of card spending.

Nachteile

One of the only struggles that we've had is keeping up with changes to the system. Where to find things is continuously moving and while the system does a decent job of informing us, sometimes it is challenging to find where certain actions have changed (sometimes things have been renamed, other times an action has moved to a different subcategory in the menu bar).

Ramp is the best system I've ever used to track my credit card expenses and reimbursements. The fact that you can do everything by mobile device is fantastic especially when you are travelling and can do your reporting in real time.

We can't upload to our Quickbooks Enterprise therefore, every transaction needs to be reentered again.

Email and text integration is very helpful for quickly attaching receipts and memos to purchases. Auto-suggestions for memos learn as you go and simplify the process as well.

Sometimes the lag in uploading forwarded receipts slows down my process flow, but overall I have very few complaints.

Ramp is easy to use and has great features that will be helpful to most companies. They are constantly upgrading to add value to their product and customer service, when needed has been great.

The statement would be better for us if it was broken down by card. Instead all transactions are in one group by transaction date.

I love the ease of forwarding email receipts (except for Amazon - see below), snapping a pic of a physical receipt and texting it, etc. And the reminders by text and email mean that I keep up with receipts/expense reports without having to think about it as much as before. No losing physical receipts before I get around to submitting them, no forgetting, etc.

Nachteile

The only real negative I've found is the lack of seamless integration with Amazon. With pretty much any other vendor, I can just forward an email receipt to ramp. But for Amazon, you have to log in, download the invoice, and then send as a screenshot or attachment. I think this may be better if you have an Amazon business account, but we do not. I order from my personal Amazon account.

Ramp allows for you to create digital cards to put on file for the various subscriptions team uses. This is super handy to ensure you don't have crazy spending on systems no longer in use.

Another awesome feature is their texting of receipts. Rather than loading it into an app, Ramp will text you for the receipt and you can take pic and text it back. No uploading needed.

I wish there were more employee permission features that allowed you to grant or not grant specific access.

Ramp is an incredibly powerful tool with a rich feature set delivered by a very high performing team. Ramp has a number of features that set it apart from other tools on the market. The spend dashboards are incredibly intuitive and easy to analyse. Ramp cards can be issued in seconds and have all the appropriate triggers to stop cards being abused if there isn't a valid receipt. Another feature particularly valuable for me is the ability to email Ramp and these email receipts are automatically matched with expenses saving huge amounts of time. The slack integration is fantastic and the ability to approve/pay via slack is a game changer.

Nachteile

The mobile app isn't the most intuitive when you are looking for a very simple view of reimbursements. I know this is constantly improving but I have routinely struggled to find outstanding/paid reimbursements.

Ramp is affordable, a smart software, and allows me to track everything I need to track as far as AP goes. I have direct insight into how my employees spend and I am able to categorize + organize everything into one software.

Ramp actually solves all of our use cases so I don't have any cons at the moment.

Ramp has truly made life with company card, expense tracking and vendor management and payables! Having working in the finance field for 23 years, I have had vast experience with many softwares. Ramp is one of my favorites and is easy to set-up or disable users, track vendor expenses, and reimbursements

Nachteile

We are able to manage accounts payable but it does not have accounts receivable functionalty at all. i've asked if this will be added to Ramp's future functionality before we have to purchase an additional package with another firm and have not yet received any feedback nor a response on this piece.

ALSO, the latest update is not ideal with moving items that are ready to process to different tabs. I'd like an option to have all items remain in one screen while working through items that we can upload vs. what is missing items from the users

I like that once I make a purchase using my Ramp card I immediately receive a text message that asked me for description. It makes it very easy to not only stay in compliance, but track my own expenses for auditing.

The Ramp platform makes it easy to do everything that a corporate card administrator or user might need to: issue new cards, assign expense policies, code transactions, integrate with accounting software, suspend or terminate cards, adjust spending limits. Part of the reason we switched to Ramp is the fact that we can administer our card program almost entirely online, without having to call into a call center as we had to with Amex; coupled with no annual fees, going to Ramp was a no-brainer. The implementation process is straightforward and the Ramp team is there every step of the way, so you can have the platform up and running in a fairly short amount of time, particularly compared to some competing card expense reporting solutions. But the best thing by far is that Ramp "pays" you to use it in the form of cash rebates on certain transactions -- what a concept!

Nachteile

It's honestly quite difficult to identify any cons with the Ramp platform. One challenge we've had is that card authorizations (or merchant holds) take a long time to drop off; and before they do, the cardholder and their manager often get multiple notifications that a "transaction" requires action. Physical cards take several days to be delivered; other corporate card issuers turn cards around a lot faster.

Ramp is a simple to use everyday credit card for our company. Were able to expense costs, manage the receipts due to the multiple ways we can send in, i.e. email, pictures, Tex message, in the app itself or physically online. Makes the "i lost my credit card receipt" a thing of the past!

not much I can say that i don't like about the card, I guess my only issue is that we cant customize the color/ design of the card. would love to see our LOGO on the cards

This software makes no room for your team not to provide receipts for expense reporting. I also love the multiple digital credit cards with active/non-active controls. You can also set-up automatic lock on cards that are missing information or receipts. And it's essentially free.

The UX could be improved on the missing items page.

I like that Ramp helps me track the mileage I've driven so that I get reimbursed properly. I also like that Ramp quickly attaches my receipts to credit card expenses without me having to individually do it for each transaction. It cuts out a step for me and makes the process easy.

I think the thing I like least about ramp is that extra verification step it sometimes makes me do but most apps and sites do that now. Since it is for protecting our information, I understand the necessity but still would rather put in my password and be done without having to input a code or something.

I'm not sure if it is a company option that has been overlooked, but when requesting reimbursement for mileage, I'm required to provide a receipt. That doesn't make sense. I'm having Ramp calculate my mileage so there is no receipt.

We use virtual credit cards to reduce risk when paying online vendors. If one vendor has a data breach I do not need to worry that our other services will experience any downtime due to missed payment while dealing with one bad vendor.

I also really like how easy it is for our small business to get new employees up and running with travel expenses.

Nachteile

There is something weird going on with the integration with Gusto and everyone in the company keeps being re-assigned to the same department despite manually fixing it every time I see an error. I think the issue is because of how we track people in Gusto, so not really Ramp's problem.

I love that I can have all my expense management tool in one place. I also love that the platform is automated to read invoices. Ramp is aslo free plus they pay the company 1.5% on all credit card purchases. Win, win, win.

I like how approachable and user-friendly Ramp is. It has a really simple interface and straightforward features. I love Ramp's receipt matching integration with my work Gmail, and I also like how easy it is to text a receipt to Ramp and have it matched.
The previous software my company used didn't provide a physical card which was really inconvenient, so I'm glad I can have a physical and/or virtual work card through Ramp.

Nachteile

From the perspective of an employee who just uses Ramp for monthly expenses and reimbursements, I don't have much negative feedback.

Our users love the ability to submit all required documentation from their phones and administrators love the ability to review without a lot of paper management.

Requires a bit of work on the front end to set it up but after it is right, things work very well.

Ramp makes expensing purchases extremely quick, efficient, and easy. All I have to do is forward any emailed confirmation or receipt I get to Ramp and it automatically uploads to my account, where I can just type a memo the expense was for and select which account it should be billed to. It makes life so much easier for expensing the amount we do!

Nachteile

The only thing I don't like so far is that sometimes my account wants me to go through multi-step authentication constantly, whereas other times it doesn't require it. It's the times that I have to type in a code when I've already been logged in through the day repeatedly that can be annoying, but it's a security measure and I understand.
