I love the fact that it helps me think out my process and directs me in the right direction. It makes me want to learn more and perfect my writing. I have tried a lot of different plans and none compare to live plan. I have been using it for about a year now and it seems to be improving me and itself every time I use it. I highly recommend it to anyone starting or upgrading their business.

At this point, I have no complaints. I literally had to study the first time I tried to do the financials because I really didn't know what I was doing. But I kept trying, and then it began to make sense. I think it's important to know what you are doing instead of a program that does it all for you. Liveplan doesn't do everything for you but guides you and in my mind, teaches you. To me it's like a college course in business management. I love it.

I canceled my account a month ago, but my credit card was charged again. I requested a refund, which was denied. Relying on unauthorized charges is a poor business practice. If you cannot handle cancellations online and promptly, then avoid issuing credit cards and stop auto-renewals.
When you see there is tons of negative review here and there, you should fix your system.
I expect a full refund, as my account shows that I haven’t accessed it in the past 30 days; I'm not using your service. I only tried it for a few days before canceling my account.

I have used LivePlan for multiple companies. I find it incredibly supportive and easy to navigate.

There is nothing that I don't like. LivePlan is an easy program for anyone to use. If you haven't created a financial forecast in the past, it allows you an easy path to follow. As you get better, it gets easier.

The product flow. The plan guide allows you to move step by step through the planning process. Very easy to follow and is more or less a plug-and-play system.
The support team are most professional and very quick to respond.

Generally going out 5 years is more than fine with projections. However, we did have a situation where we brought a new division in 2 years later and we need to combine it with the original plan and would have liked it going 6 or even 7 years.

Amazing piece of software. Must use for anyone attempting to go into business. A proforma alone will not cut it. This software makes it easy to forecast and project with the most important element being cashflow. Great, easy to use!

It does not function well with Xero. If you are not inside the American corporate system you should NOT be using this software. Regardless of what sales teams are saying or what is being pushed by digital teams.

This software is another example of forced coercion by the American corporate machine. The site is not user friendly in Australia against our taxation and terminology. The Xero sync does not work I have logged 100s of hours in this system trying to make it work but it's just not user friendly for an every day person like it is touting.

I really liked working with LivePlan to build a business plan. LivePlan helped me with having a template available to build my business plan upon. I thought writing a business plan would be something I would have to outsource and get help with. LivePlan allowed me to take control of writing and creating my own business plan. I love that I can change and expand my business plan at any time! I can also share my plan with potential investors and feel confident that it is both organized and professional.

I would like if the software would integrate with my accounting software, that way I can see in realtime how my cash flow is cooresponding with my company goals.

This product may be good for existing business - it could be utilized for other businesses we operate that have an existing track record. However, it is not software to be used for a startup business.

Nachteile

For a startup business looking into sales forecasting, it is highly unusual to post monthly revenues and costs - it is 'overly precise' and a recipe for failure. Quarterly and semi-annual forecasting is absent from the software package. I do not know of businesses which file taxes each month nor annually, but those are the options provided by LivePlan.

Live Plan was perfect for my needs - it helped me shape my strategic plan and think through my start-up capital requirements and revenue projections. I loved that it gave me some industry benchmarks and suggested budget items (like employee payroll liabilities) I hadn't thought of. The templates were also very helpful to show me what a plan should look like.

Nachteile

I didn't like that the software didn't highlight at the beginning how to coordinate between my LivePlan line items and my Quick Bookls like items. It made using the review feature (to compare projections with performance) more difficult to use.

Logical & progressive layout, detailed instructions, examples. I especially appreciate that so far, I have hardly run into any situation that I could not accurately represent in the business plan because there has always been an appropriate option.

When I make a copy of a Business planner to be used as a reference in building another one, the counter for the total number of images I have placed is not reset, thus creating problems for placing new images as the limit is reached very quickly.

It is not possible to use a copy of a forecast from one plan and copy it to another or to use the outline structure of one plan in another empty plan.

Comprehensive approach to a business plan and general planning. I use the forecast function for every client to assist in preparing budgets. The benchmark data is very helpful and is now enhanced from prior versions.

LivePlan was very helpful in assisting me with my business plan for my startup. This was my first time having to create a business plan, and thus I did not know where to begin. LivePlan provided me with step-by-step instructions via their template, which allowed me to write a detailed business plan that I will leverage going forward to manage my business appropriately. I highly recommend this tool, especially if you have never written a business plan.

Some of the instructions, especially in the financial section were not quite clear. I had difficulties in the 3rd year revenue section inputting the month-2-month revenue.

Provided initial "jumpstart" direction in basic areas of business plan development. Financial projection tables were simple to use & provided a foundation to approach a deeper dive into financial planning & realities.

The format was different than the traditional business plan templates I had used in other business development pursuits & LivePlans product required some tweaking.
Determining a startup cost breakdown seemed to be a bit more difficult in the forecast section then it probably needed to be.
Couldn't download & save with the plan coversheet/title page.
