We wanted a system to easily allow us to execute our Business Strategy through the OKR mechanism and link these to our individual Performance Planning and Review for staff. 7Geese fits that bill.

7Geese makes implementing Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) in your business fast and efficient. It compliments this with integration to Performance Reviews and other feedback mechanisms to create a holistically mechanism to integrate Business Objective setting with staff alignment and engagement.
It's simple to use and the interface is fast.
Nachteile
OKRs are a great way to set goals and align staff. Initiatives, which are the strategic steps to get to the Objective, need to be understood and tracked. 7Geese does not have a mechanism for this yet. If it did, it would be almost perfect.
It would also be great if the software had better 'at a point' reporting on OKRs, so that more traditional static monthly status reports could be generated.

Workboard was an amazing product and has some extremely powerful capability to link in existing systems to track progress on initiatives (the doing actions to deliver the outcomes for OKRs). In fact, it has more capability than 7Geese. However, for our staff, Workboard was complex to use and the interface was slow. Paycor has been an integral part of our day-to-day operations. We have been able to streamline our people management procedures and guarantee that our employees are paid accurately and on time thanks to its comprehensive HR and payroll software.Our use of Paycor has provided us with a unified experience, which is one of its greatest advantages. Everything can be accessed through a single platform, including recruitment, onboarding, management of performance reviews, and administration of benefits. We have saved a significant amount of time and effort by not having to manage multiple systems.We have also appreciated Paycor's mobile-first functionality. Using their smartphones or web browsers, our employees can easily view their schedules and request time off. They can now more easily manage their work schedules thanks to this, and it has also made it simpler for us to grant or deny their requests.However, Paycor's system's steep learning curve has presented us with some difficulties. We had to spend some time on training and onboarding in order to fully comprehend how to use all of the features and functions. However, once we were able to use the system, we found it to be effective and easy to use.In general, Paycor has assisted us in resolving a number of business issues.

As someone who uses Paycor, I have to say that the occasional system lag is one of the biggest problems I've had. When I need to get important information quickly, the system takes longer to load than I expected. When I have limited time and need to access data quickly, this can be frustrating.The occasional difficulty in navigating the system is another issue I've encountered. Even though the interface is generally easy to use, there have been times when I haven't been able to find what I want. This can be especially difficult for new employees who need to quickly access information and may not be familiar with the system.When I needed to look up an employee's pay stub from a few months ago, this was one example. I had to spend more time looking for the information because I couldn't find the pay stubs, which delayed my day's work.

Paycor is very expensive for the service that is received
Overall, we have had so many issues we can't keep up with them all.

There is nothing good I can say about this software.

Customer service has been horrible. The company was not prepared for the ICHRA regulations, consequently, we had to put in hours of manual labor and the system was not able to prepare an accurate 1094C. We implemented a simple small entity that mirrored our other entity's, and Paycor was not able to replicate the other entity's. Consequently, after two months, we still don't have a complete and accurate set up.

Fairly user-friendly - Once you understand what certain features do, it is quite simple to use and a schedule can be created fairly quickly. I can schedule a dozen individuals for an entire year in approximately 30 minutes. Adding individuals to the schedule implies I have to pay for their use of the app whether they use it or not. Both the app and online consoles are fairly simple to understand. I'm astonished by how many of them say they actually use the app and website on a regular basis considering how simple it is for them to use. The program is not the most attractive option available and can be a little difficult to understand. We discovered that those compromises are well worth making in exchange for a more reliable solution. I hadn't anticipated much of a transition from Nimble Schedule to Nimble. All of the Nimble Schedule features, at the the least, should be present in Nimble, but I was hoping for more. Although there were some flaws with Nimble Schedule that Nimble was able to resolve, I don't mind because I enjoyed it! Every new piece of software requires a period of getting used to, but I believe I've managed to do so and have grown to enjoy Nimble thus far. We have 64 employees, thus it is a hassle to print each payroll report individually because we rely greatly on the reports that Nimble creates for us.

Lots of Headaches, Poor Support
Moving from paper onboarding processes, Paycor has brought clear improvements to our workflows. However, the consistently poor customer support and the Paycor team's lack of ability to resolve issues with our account has us exploring other options.
Vorteile
Scheduling - Pro version offers a team chat function that is a decently effective team communication tool (think simple Slack), and offers solid scheduling flexibility for employee scheduling that fits our business needs. We needed an option that allowed employees to communicate their availability on a week-to-week basis and Paycor's option largely supports that.
Easy to learn - really, the system is pretty easy to learn and get up to speed for new users.
Onboarding - certainly offered a cleaner and easier onboarding experience for new hire paperwork than our prior system.
Nachteile
Customer support - Support teams seem overwhelmed at all times. You never reach "your" customer service rep as they are busy serving 300 other clients like you. They lack follow through on completing tasks (expect to do some hand-holding) and follow up communication is poor.
Integration - no real ownership from the implementation team to help us successful onboard. Communication from Paycor team was severely lacking throughout the onboarding process.
Multi-systems - ATS, Scheduling, Benefits, and HR are really 4 separate systems integrated together. They mostly play nicely until they don't. Makes for an awkward user experience at times too.
Buggy - We have experienced on-going software issues that have yet to reach a resolution. Feedback from us and other Paycor users in the Paycor Ideas channel seems to show a small response, desire, or ability to make improvements from user suggestions.

Would've never known I get paid double on holidays without this!
Paycor was great! I loved the app, definitely made it easier for me to track my hours per paycheck as an hourly employee! 10/10 recommend for small and bigger businesses!

My favorite thing about Paycor was how transparent it was. I enjoyed the ease of tying out my hours to my pay and moreso, finding out that I get paid double for overtime and holidays!!(p.s I was an intern at the time, double wages meant everything! and I mean everything!

It was rather hard learning how to use paycor and that could've been my employers intention... (Not that I don't understand how to use the software but rather, understanding the software made minimal effect on my work lifestyle etc)

Fast and easy app
As a General Virtual Assistant, my client is having a hard time paying me because I am working remotely on his behalf. So I found Paycor online which has a feature like direct deposit that saves our problem.
Vorteile
What I like about using Paycor is easy-to-use. You do not need any coding to process payroll, direct deposit or schedule a meeting. The features of Paycor makes my life so easy especially direct deposit.
Nachteile
There can be initially a learning curve for some folks when it comes to using the more advanced features on the platform. However, it does not take long to become familiarized with how the different tools play into creating the final experience.

Best Payroll System
Our company was using ADP when I joined in 2016. I started looking for a new service immediately.
Paycor is extremely user friendly. Managing employee records is faster, you can access reports quickly. Customer Service is outstanding! Very knowledgeable and friendly group of account specialists. Also the implementation process was smooth and I felt very prepared when we went live.

Nachteile
While there are a ton of topics not everything in the HELP too not everything is to find. Once you do find what you are looking for there's a how to video which is helpful. I don't think it's easy to navigate the help guide. I also find that setting up new earnings/deduction codes could be easier.

Stuck with disappointment
I am very torn. I do like the system and feel like there are a lot of functions to take advantage of, however because the customer service is so poor I can not get help to utilize them to the full extent. Also I am disgusted by their billing department, I don't understand why I cannot get answers on what I am expected to pay for and why it changes each week.
I honestly want to look for something different, but I feel stuck since we just went through the transfer last year. I have 150 employees and I don't want to put them through another change so quickly. I would change if I could and I would not recommend this to anyone.
This is my last hope to try to get someone's attention, 4 months ago I expressed all my frustration with the sales people and was hopeful for some change, but nothing has changed.

I really like the payroll function of the software, it is very easy to set up and run payroll. Also the user side of things is very simple and available in Spanish.
Nachteile
Billing is inconsistent and uninformative, you ask questions and cannot get a direct or clear answer, I think it is very fair to be asking what I am paying for. Which then leads to the other worst function for this company which is customer service, I have been working on a billing question about delivery fees for over a month now, I have now had to ask 3 different people which include the sales people that sold me on Paycor.
I have been working on getting a user simple access to review our time cards and it is taking 3 weeks now. I called the support team, they told me it was fixed (it was not). I then created a case number by reaching out to through their support email, a week later I had to follow up with another phone call and they told me they had not even started working on this, so I had to sit on the phone for an hour while they worked on it.

Great tool for managing OKRs, 1/1's, team feedback
Overall - great - use it daily and track a lot of my people related things in 7Geese.
Vorteile
7Geese is a great solution for many things - particularly managing OKR's which is what was our driving motivation in moving from another provider to 7Geese. There are a few items which would make reporting easier, but for the most part, the OKR process is really easy and very dynamic and functional.
I also manage my 1/1 agendas through 7Geese and this is generally a pretty straightforward way of having both manager and staff person easily keep track of items to be discussed and notes during the meeting.
You can use a variety of pre-populated templates for feedback, or create your own. I use this function for a weekly update from my team. The main thing I wish for here is that it be able to be scheduled to go out with reminders when people haven't completed, but otherwise, this is also a great tool to get feedback and be able to respond within the platform.
Reviews are a bit clunky, but this process has improved a lot in the last year. Since we like to do 360's, it can be hard as this functionality doesn't exist and you have to use a combination of review forms and/or feedback forms to complete.
Support team responsiveness is great. Training videos are helpful. Overall, really love using 7Geese.

Easy to use payroll software
I have been using Paycor for about 20 years and have been pleased with them since the first day I started using the software.
Vorteile
Paycor offers many benefits inside their payroll software package. The feature I value the most is the ability to track employee hours in different departments and set up each department in separate general ledger accounts. This allows me to easily transfer my payroll data into my financial software. This is a huge time saving feature for me. Whenever I need to call customer service, they are knowledgeable and address any issues I may have in a timely manner. I do not usually need to call for customer support because the software is so user friendly that under normal circumstances I can handle everything on my own. I do not even consider moving to another program because of the ease of use and affordability Paycor's software offers.
Nachteile
There is not really anything I don't like about the software. Sometimes I wish I could get by without having to use my mouse while entering my payroll but there are a few items on the screen that can not be chosen without switching from keystrokes to the mouse.

Great ATS gone silent
I absolutely LOVED Newton. I was introduced to Newton in 2016 at one company and loved it so much, I selected it for implementation at another company in 2018. The selection, evaluation and onboarding process was nearly flawless for a company that size and at the time, that new to an ATS. That company still uses Newton today. However, I hear that their calendar of improvements and upgrades have declined dramatically.
However, when I went out on my own, of course, my logical choice was Newton! I contacted them four separate times with not one call/text/email back. Such a shame to see a great company ignore one of it's greatest fans. They have recently been purchased by Paycor as a part of a bigger group of solutions. I hope they get back on track with their roots of excellent customer service and forward-thinking product development.

Why go with Paycor
My overall experience with Paycor has been great! Their HRIS and HCM offer us so much customization that we didn't have before we came to Paycor. The transition was seamless and they offer so many wonderful products, not to mention their partnership with so many other valuable companies.

The software is easy to use, most of it is very intuitive and the implementation team we had was amazing! They made sure that the transition to Paycor went smoothly. They listened to our needs and were very prompt at helping us with any issues we had!
Nachteile
There are some reports that I would like to run, but cannot. If there is data for something, it should be reportable. However, Paycor reporting does offer a lot of reports and customization.

Paycor was a mistake
We used Paycor for 2 months and only ran 5 weekly payrolls. In that time we were never fully onboarded to the platform. Some features were never enabled and I had an extremely difficult time getting in touch with anyone to help me. The online knowledge base lacks some basic information. Payroll itself was easy enough to run so I don't really have an issue with that. Everything else was not intuitive at all and took a lot of clicking around in Paycor to figure out, if I ever was able to figure it out. I spent all of my working time for 8 weeks trying to get Paycor set up correctly and it just never happened. When I requested a partial refund for my trouble, I got snarky flippant replies.
As of this writing I am waiting for Paycor to contact me about quarterly employer taxes that weren't filed that nobody ever told me was my responsibility. The software I was using before Paycor did it for us and I'm fairly certain that that was one of the things I asked about during the sales process.

Excellent scheduling and employee management software
NimbleSchedule provides an excellent tool for business owners like myself to schedule employees and track clock-in and clock-out times.
PROS:
Features:
They have a lot of robust features that allow us to run reports and have a snapshot of who was late or absent for each pay period, check what breaks employees are taking, etc.
QR code time clocking:
NimbleSchedule also offers the ability to clock in and out with a QR code that employees have from their NimbleSchedule phone app. We printed each employees QR code and put it with their door keycard on a lanyard keycard holder. Then we have a tablet near the front desk so employees can come in the door, hold their badge up to the tablet and clock in. Then do the same when they leave to clock out.
Tablet Admin App:
As mentioned previously, they have an admin side mobile app that uses the front camera on a tablet or mobile device that employees can use to scan their QR code and clock in or out. It works great and positioning that near the doors to our office really helps employees not forget to clock in or out and causing more work for our office admin.
Support:
Amazing support and nearly always available via live chat when logged in on the back-end
CONS:
Only con that has negatively effected us is that there is no way to limit clocking in or out on a mobile device to a certain geographical area or based on IP address. They have this feature that only allows employees to clock in if they are on certain IP addresses in the desktop version. However, in the mobile app there is no way to restrict that so we had to disable clocking in or out from the mobile app. It's really not a huge deal since they can use their QR code and clock with the tablet but it would be a nice feature to have.
Overall scoring:
4.5/5 - highly recommended. NimbleSchedule works for nearly all of our needs and rarely has issues. Couple that with their AMAZING support and it is a clear winner.

Disappointing
When I brought this to their attention and tried to unravel the mess. I was met with a very overwhelmed and unfriendly representative that stated that I was difficult to work with because their figures were inaccurate. None of the report forms actually worked and there were work arounds but were not intuitive. I think that this software is not really ready yet. The customer service is underdeveloped to address what small employers need and if they expect small business owners who use their services to be experts in payroll then they are not really offering much of a service to small business owners because we need a service provider who is an expert in their industry - Seems like they could step up their game. I had a lot of hope for Paycor in the beginning but hope that they will take some of this to heart as feedback meaning to be constructive to address these issues for the rest of the customers that rely upon them for accurate filings and payroll Small business owners are not payroll experts and it is too important to mess with this stuff.

Set up started out strong. but then got sticky right away when after the first payroll was run, it took over two months to get the general ledger set up to work with Quickbooks. The staff who answer the phone seem nice ...

Staff who answered the phone were not always the right person to address an issue and that meant a lot of wasted time on the phone. I was told I would have a dedicated person assigned, then after the first payroll, that disappeared. The first few payroll submissions they stated they would help me with the process but at the second submission there was an issue with an employee leaving our employment and somehow, they registered his last paycheck twice. Then wanted me to pay to have the matter fixed but finally backed down on that. . Then since I am a small business owner and fall withing the 2% shareholder category, my earnings were all messed up - had to re figure the third quarter which was their only filing for us . I quit Paycor in the middle of the fourth quarter after they botched up an employees paycheck paying him only $5.00 per hour - which is an illegal rate besides not his pay rate. They stated that I pressed the button but I never modified his wage rate, wanted to add a reimbursement for him and it should not have been an override to the actual wag rate but that is how the software is set up. You would think that the wages would be a efault and protected better.

Fantastic for self-sufficient users, customer service lacking
Vorteile
I like that Paycor is designed to operate with minimal intervention on their end. Most products and features are customizable by the client administrator, and can typically be set up through self-service. I like that Paycor covers most of what we need and integrates everything into one platform, and decreases the amount of manual paperwork I need to do.
Nachteile
When you do need help, it is extremely difficult to access. Their CSR teams use the same resources that customers have available, and they often put a ticket or work order in that you never hear about again. Phone lines are less busy than they used to be, but still inefficient. You do not get responses regarding tickets submitted via email. Paycor does not easily accept responsibility for mistakes on their end when they do occur.

Newton Applicant Tracking System has it all
Newton is feature rich. After six months of using the product, I've still only scratched the surface of what it can do.
Vorteile
The program allows the user to create a job posting from scratch or to modify existing ones. There are numerous templates for job posts or emails that can be used out of the box or can be modified and personalized. Newton has agreements with Indeed, LinkedIn and Glassdoor and job postings can be automatically posted to these sites for free. It also allows for posting directly to the company's employment web site as well as the company's Facebook page. The system allows the poster to create knock-out questions so that interested applicants who don't meet minimum qualifications are automatically excluded and the receive a message instantly why they are not eligible. Another vital function is that, once an applicant shows interest, they can be followed in the system every step along the way. You can track them through phone interviews, face to face interviews, email correspondence, and hire, involving other employees who may need to be involved along the way. One final key point is that, if the company is a customer of Paycor Payroll and HR systems, Newton interacts with those seamlessly and a prospect who is hired in Newton will automatically be transferred to Paycor with all of their information.
Nachteile
While the system is rich in features, the menus are not intuitive. There can be multiple menus on a page and it can be difficult to navigate to a feature you are looking for. I find myself spending a significant amount of time in the 'Help' section.

Not a good solution for complex organizations
Very bad. I've had much better experiences with other HRIS tools. Do not use this product if you have a complex organization, work in multiple states, or work in health care.
Vorteile
The Newton applicant tracking system is nice, although it was not originally created by Paycor. The Paycor employees we work with are generally very friendly, although they do not know their product very well.
Nachteile
Implementation was a disaster for us (we're still technically in implementation at month 8). We are a complex organization involved in acquisitions - I do NOT recommend this product for anyone acquiring business or with complicated organization structures. Giving access to various managers and supervisors in Paycor is complicated. Giving access to reporting to various employees requires an act of Congress. Many reports generate error messages and rarely work. You cannot batch edit employees in any capacity. Interfaces with outside organizations has been an incredible challenge (General Ledger reporting is wildly inaccurate; misinformation is transmitted to our 401k recordkeeper, etc.) The scheduling tool is sub-par. This product is also geared more towards organizations with salaried employees only - for example, you can't even set up pay ranges based on hourly rates - all pay ranges must be annualized salaries. Payroll is consistently a disaster - incorrect payments for salaried employees with no explanation. Every single issue we send to our Paycor rep has to be escalated to IT because they don't know what's wrong. It seems like the system is full of glitches and nothing ever works as it should.

Easily Manage Time cards through Paycor
I use Paycor to clock in/clock out at my community, as well as submit PTO and benefit requests.
Vorteile
Paycor is very user-friendly, and provides several tools to help manage time sheets, access company documents, review benefits and more. It has a very clean interface, and is extremely simple to navigate from the moment of onboarding through the duration of employment.
Nachteile
Paycor is difficult to change/cancel/adjust time off. I struggle with the time off section and often have to just delete the PTO submitted and resubmit when there is an error.

Paycor
Overall it is good software. It does have some areas that just could be better. I believe with a little time these issues could be addressed and corrected. Making the software very valuable to any company.
Vorteile
This software is good for tracking available hours for vacation and time off request. Also it allows employees to access their tax information electronically.
Nachteile
I dont like that this software doesnt provide the user with much information on how to use it. You pretty much have to teach yourself how to navigate the program. Which is fine but can be very frustrating. Also if you forget your password you only have 3 attempts to get it right or you will be locked out of your account. Then you have to contact the administrator to reset password. Its great security but very inconvenient for the user especially if you need to access your account immediately. It usually takes days of waiting to get the administrator to complete the reset.
