Vorteile

This software has almost everything that is required to conduct the course online. Our faculties can do Assigning courses, assignments, quizzes, share their class notes & attachments easily on this software. It has a great notification system for smartphones thus student doesn't miss out any important topic. It can also integrate many features from google service & our lecturer love this media more than other available alternatives. It has a clean UI & I love it personally.

Nachteile

I don't find any cons for this software. But the software would be self-sufficient if it integrates a group calling feature for conducting classes like the Microsoft team.

Vorteile

It helps to collaborate with people from anywhere through the internet. It is cloud based LMS solution so I use classroom without installing any dedicated application on my mobile. It is integrated with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides. And Gdrive provide dedicated folder for Classroom where the files are store so it helps me to find the files easily.

Nachteile

Initially when large number of people joins the meeting, the application becomes unresponsive & it lags.

Vorteile

It is relatively easy to set up a class and invite students to join. You will likely need to watch a tutorial first, but after that, it is pretty straightforward. I like that it time-stamps submitted work. you know exactly the time a student turned something in.

The ability to ask a simple multiple-choice question (I only gave the option of one answer - the word "here:)makes it easy to have students check-in for attendance purposes.

Nachteile

There is no easy way to transfer scores from Google Classroom to our grading system. There are no built-in comments when responding to student work. You cannot create assignments that can be both scheduled and added to multiple classes at the same time. For example, I have 3 sections of Geometry. I have to create an assignment and schedule for one class, then share and redo the scheduling for each of the other 2 classes. There is no way to hide old assignments so that students can't go back several weeks and try to submit old/late work, particularly at the end of each marking period.

I don't like the fact that many educators have already asked for some of the features I feel are lacking, and yet updates have not been made.

Vorteile

Google Classroom has replaced my teacher website, my homework help page, and even the "what did I miss" file folder in my classroom. I can get any information to students I need to via the stream, all classwork is published in that section, so they have access to and they know to look there if they missed days to find any work. Its integration with Google Meets means even if a student is absent they have an easy way to participate virtually.

Nachteile

There are still some bugs with the SIS Export in the Gradebook, but they are getting better each year. Currently scores export, but aren't categorized correctly which is a small annoyance, but an easy fix.

Vorteile

Google Classroom is useful for global or online education since it allows both instructors and pupils to engage with one another. The greatest benefit is the fact it is flawlessly synced with all of Google Workspace's other productive programmes such as calendar, Gmail, and so on.

Nachteile

There is nothing to dislike regarding this platform, except that its file uploading feature frequently take longer time. Nonetheless, I had a positive experience as a whole using Google Classroom.

I like how basic this software is; it has a simple UI with no complexity. Accessing the classes is simple; anyone may quickly join the selected Classroom by utilizing a link or code.

Nachteile

It would be great if it allowed the study material to be organized with different filters, uploaded date, importance or level of complexity, apart from this I can't think of anything else I don't like.

Google Classroom is user friendly for both teachers and students. As it is a google product you can seamlessly integrate with drive and google meet. The most used feature is the assignment submission. While I was enrolled in a class this feature was so easy. The assignment that is due will appear in your classroom and all you need to do is upload your file. Also providing announcement is very much easier. One post will be enough for the whole classroom. Also the mobile app support is helpful too. You can access everything through the application.

Nachteile

There could have been more customization features such as creating themes and making personal branding for the classes. Another feature that could be added is creating and executing tests. Instead of using google forms, a feature can be included to create live quizzes and tests through google classroom.

Vorteile

Google Classroom provides a platform that is easily assessable to students from wherever they are using whatever device they have access too.

Nachteile

Parents do not have a platform that they can see the curriculum and grades posted, unless they login to their child's account. Other than "Google Guardian" - which is helpful, but I feel like could grow.

Virtual classrooms, great for organizing courses and educational materials, posting assignments, communicating effectively with students. Google Classroom is easy to use even by very young school age students, the students I work with.

Most impactful features are time management, organizing, distance collaboration and courses and files sharing. The product is easy to use and the integration with my business processes was not difficult.

I like that it is compatible with the Google Suite software. I can make an assignment for students on Classroom, then link any materials needed for the assignment that may be saved in my Drive or Docs. I can create digital assignments and assessments using Docs and Forms, and attach any materials or spreadsheets. It's easy to add links or videos to assignments as well. There are also many Add-Ons that compliment Classroom making it easier to facilitate. Students like that it is all digital and they can access everything they need from where ever they might be.

Nachteile

I don't like that grading doesn't carry over to the Classroom Grading area from assessments or assignments made using Google Forms if you attach anything to the assignment in addition to the Form.

Vorteile

It provides most of features which I need for solving my daily bases Task for my classes.
I can take attendence.
I cna share notes and handouts.
I can take quiz during time with record of time, answers etc.

Nachteile

Limited space is a big issue.

Another missing feature is that we cannot take print of quiz form like a ms word. The pdf version needs alot of pages.

Google Classroom is a great platform to use for setting up your daily activities in the classroom. It is used to put out information to your students, allows for collaboration as students complete their assignments, and allows for easy assignment submission.

Although not a full course management systems - it operates as and contains the major functions of one in an easy to use format. Works across all platforms, especially great with the Google environment for Chromebooks that seem to be the device of choice in many school districts.

Nachteile

Google is updating their software frequently - which is good, but sometimes the changes are not announced ahead of time or in a way that prepares you or the student in advance to the change.

Vorteile

The software is great for teaching virtual students and it has the ability to share screens to make collaboration easy.

Nachteile

There is no ability for the instructor to see what the student sees.

Google classroom is inexpensive and works almost the same way as a blackboard even though it does lack some features.

Vorteile

Creating assignments, taking exams, sharing announcements, reaching out to students individually, storage of student assignment files in the linked Google account in well-structured manner, sharing of Google forms or links to resources from external sources help make educating students very efficient. Above all, it's free!! And who will not like a free utility with so many useful features.

Nachteile

The rubrics feature is limited to a very small number of student scripts/reports per assignment. Also, there should be an option to share audio as well.

What I like the most about this application or website is how easy for us to use as a student and as a teacher, since I am able to navigate it as a teacher sometimes as a part of our activity before in a course that is related to educational technology. It has a beginner friendly interface that is why even those people who are not that tech-savvy can actually handle it. Since I also know professors that are even already seniors but having no problem using google classroom. Also, I like how google classroom is integrated with different google software that help us a student to survive in our study. There is this google calendar that helps us to manage our time, google email which helps us to get reminded about specific announcements, google drive where we store our documents and by just sharing its link to google classroom helps us pass requirements, and many more! Lastly, having an access to this application for both mobile and laptops are helpful too!

Nachteile

Actually, google classroom is almost perfect application for me. However, I think there are some features that they may add so that the learning experiences of students and the teaching experiences of teachers will be seamless. First recommendation is that they should have something like in Canva which shows the students their progress in the course like maybe a percentage. Lastly, there should be also a tab where we can see the overall grades in the course since we students are in need to read back everything just to keep track of our grades.

One of the many reasons why I enjoy and regularly use Google Classroom is that I can assign tasks and prompts - whether it be a simple question for my students to respond to or an essay prompt - and have all my students be able to see such assignments and complete them. Everything is automatically saved so the occasional (and inevitable) “select all, delete all” disaster can easily be fixed, even if the student logs out and back in. The “Restore previous versions” feature has saved many an essay from being lost forever. My students can write, edit, and turn in completed work. I can also monitor their progress and leave notes of guidance.
Students can also join more than one “class” which is exceptionally helpful as an RSP teacher. My students can see and complete written work from both their home-room and my resource class.
One particular feature has truly saved several of my students who have difficulty writing, spelling, and typing and have thus turned in incomplete and lacking work in the past. But with the speech-to-text microphone feature, my students can verbally “write” their responses and not fixate on poor spelling or get frustrated about how slow they type. They can easily express their ideas in a hassle-free way.

Nachteile

The features I use and the mechanics that run them all work fine. My students and I don’t get too complex or try to push any limits so no real con has presented itself.

Ever since I switched to using Google Classroom as a primary classroom management system, my teaching life has been made so much simpler. While it was essential for running a virtual classroom during distance learning, I have found it just as useful as students returned to class. The ability to post all assignments in a central space that students are used to looking at means that I almost never hear the dreaded, "What did we do while I was absent?" question. Students who are absent know to check Google Classroom first. It also integrates nicely into our district's grading software, Synergy.

Nachteile

One drawback to the software is that it requires students to have a device of their own. In my district, students each have their own device that they take home, but if that is not the case, then it severely hampers the usefulness of Google Classroom.

The most notable feature of this application is its free of use given the fact that our institution is a public one. The tracking system of the students progress is amazing!. The creation of classroom and delivering the codes and link to the students is excellent. The upload and viewing of learning resources is another strength of this platform. It also has the capability of integrating the different product and services of google. Overall, this platform is highly recommended for starter pack especially to those institution with tight budget.

Nachteile

The things that needs to be improved on this product is the assessment features wherein the checking of files and learners outputs is quite hard to view which sometimes leads to automatic downloads. It resulted to consume a lot of storage on my device. Another, things that needs to be improve is the pre-requisite features which requires the students to accomplish a certain topics before opening one. Lastly, is the monitoring of students access to verify whether they actually reading or doing their assignment on their own.

Vorteile

For starters, there is hardly a learning curve here. The software is easy to use and the transitions from one part to another are seamless. Furthermore, I believe you grow with the software so the more you use it, the more you discover and find things that work better for you. One of the features I use most is the one of "reusing posts" even from archived classes.
The other feature I like is the ability to create topics and populate that with material and assignments and supporting links, videos and other material.

Nachteile

The only thing I struggled with is in the recording option not being able to pause the recording. I would like to pause the recording for example when I am not explaining and looking at the students work and then continuing when that is done so we do not have videos of blanks spaces.

It's an easy way to connect teachers and students online, specially in this covid-19 pandemic. Teachers can easily share important contents about their discipline with the students and take control about the activities that the students need to do. The students can post in the classroom space the doubts they have about the discipline, and other students can have access to the answer given by the teacher, solving possible doubts in common between the students without necessity of each one of them sending an email for the teacher and the teacher needing to answer one by one. It's a good software to have control and awareness about schedules too, giving students and teachers the option to make their own schedule about each discipline they're involved with. Classroom's layout and visual is really clean too, and is easy to find where to do what in the site, it's organized in a intuitive form. And Google Classroom is connected with all the other Google softwares like Google Drive, where the students can have access to the online classes videos. Therefore, Google Classroom help to maintain a positive relationship between teachers, students and learning process even if not in the same physical space.

Nachteile

I don't really have much bad feedback or criticism to give about Google Classroom, but i think they could improve grading system with new grading possibilities and give teachers and students more stastitics and graphics about the performance of the class over the course period.

Vorteile

This is such an easy product to use. It syncs with so many outside platforms that teachers use. For example, if you use programs such as Bookwidgets, CK-12, Edpuzzle, Kahoot, BrainPoP, Flipgrid and more, you can sync assignments to Google Classroom.

I love that our GC also syncs with our LMS, so any assignments we put up and grade, can automatically transfer to our LMS. It is easy to add other teachers, and parents (if you wish). Students can comment publicly or privately. The new feature of added rubrics is fantastic because students are able to see what the expectations are for an assignment. I also enjoy the grade book feature - it is clear and easy to see one student's grades across all assignments.

Nachteile

Some of my students have had challenges when using a tablet - it does not always allow them to open documents or work on these documents.

Sometimes, I post an assignment and have forgotten to make a copy for each student. If I go back into GC, I am unable to change this feature and have to redo the entire assignment.

Vorteile

I love multiple features of google classroom, especially its usability. It provides excellent conditions for both, instructors and learners. It is safe, effective, and enjoyable because it is always updating and adding new features. Another incredible feature is that most websites and applications we use in teaching are fully integrated with it. It is possible to post from google classroom and to classroom and share files between app and classroom, which makes it easier for users to create effective teaching-learning experiences. There are multiple forms to upload files, for example, students can create their documents in slides, docs, or sheets directly from google classroom, as well they can upload their own files or share links if they prefer to use another software.

Nachteile

There is no google classroom app for windows yet, which makes me impossible to use it when there is no internet access. Another problem is that you need a Google Gmail account to have access, which makes really hard to communicate with outsiders, due to the fact that some student's guardians have not got a Gmail account.

As a student either you are still in high school or college, this is finally what most student always wanted : an app that let you sync with everything related to your lesson or school stuff so you'll be much more aware of any upcoming task or homework and deadline. the app integration and sharing ability is great, this app is integrated to some google apps like google docs and google drive so you can edit your document on the go and share it to your class group or classmate. It's true, most universities or even school have their own private web or server so their student can see every information related to their academic things online, but this app is much more handy that you can manage each different task or homework, not as a whole. From the teacher perspective, opening online learning or class is going to be much more easier for more effective communication between student and teacher. The plus point is, there is no need for paper!

Nachteile

As from my experience with the app so far, it doesn't integrated with many other 3rd party apps like google calendar or any calendar app which can be trouble some for managing the deadlines, it would be great if this app can be sync with many other useful apps on the store. and if you're unfamiliar with google apps or android ecosystem (let's say you're an iphone or macbook user who stick with apple ecosystem) the app design and interface will be unfamiliar because this app is a little bit googlish just like other google apps.
