Vorteile

This software has almost everything that is required to conduct the course online. Our faculties can do Assigning courses, assignments, quizzes, share their class notes & attachments easily on this software. It has a great notification system for smartphones thus student doesn't miss out any important topic. It can also integrate many features from google service & our lecturer love this media more than other available alternatives. It has a clean UI & I love it personally.

Nachteile

I don't find any cons for this software. But the software would be self-sufficient if it integrates a group calling feature for conducting classes like the Microsoft team.

Nachteile

Google Classroom requires a reliable internet connection and access to a device such as a computer, tablet or smartphone. This means that if there are technical issues or outages, students and teachers may not be able to access the platform and continue their work. While Google Classroom has many features, it may not have all the functionality that a teacher needs. For example, some teachers may prefer more advanced grading options, more detailed analytics, or better integration with other educational tools.

Well, what I like the most about this platform is the organization between online courses. There is no way you can't get confused when using the platform during online classes.

Nachteile

I feel dissapointed about the Assigment management of the platform. Indeed, the capacity of the files that can be uploaded should increase. Another thing is the editing tools for the assigments, you can't really make your corrections in the platform as a student after sending your homework.

Vorteile

First of all it is a free software meaning you don't have to subscribe to use. It is lightweight and does not require a lot of space to install. Being a product by Google, it is secured by end to end encryption.

Nachteile

It is an online software which cannot be accessed without internet connection. I wish it could be accessed offline.

I love the ability to organize curriculum, share assignments with students, give feedback to students and never have to bring home papers to grade again. You can grade and give feedback on assignments anywhere and can safely interact with students and parents through it.

Nachteile

I would love for it to be able to transfer grades easier to a gradebook we use. It could use some attendance features and more developed gradebook. Would be great to use one software for everything,

This software is so easy to use, flexible, and allows for a diversity of assignment types and communication methods.

Nachteile

I do not love the layout of the gradebook. It makes it somewhat hard to manage from grading period to grading period.

The to-do feature keeps me updated with my assignments and the integrated google calender remindes me of my class sessions and up-coming events.

It was a bit confusing at first but after a while I got used the interface and could find my way around it.

The courses and classes are easily distinguishable and it conveniently indicates the role of each member in the classroom. I get notified of every activity and assignment as soon as they become available through email.

Nachteile

When viewing uploaded course material you lose your progress in scrolling when it is an old post, it would be less of a nuisance if when you go back from viewing the course material the page would go back to where you were in scrolling.

Google Classroom is free, with great features, I use it in my meeting with my clients and it improves my video conference experience and helps me, even more, to connect with them

No cons from my side at all, I love every feature in the software, with simple UI and the best video quality they provide.

I love that Google Classroom is synched up to my Google devices and applications and documents, it is easy to access, easy to troubleshoot, easy to connect and share information, and varied ways to engage students and teachers in a synchronous and asynchronous function.

I do wish that Google Classroom integrated with Microsoft products better and not just super well with Google documents. Just like Google documents have a weird time perfectly formatting to Microsoft applications, I wish more implementation existed.

The feature of Google Classroom that I like the most is the easy-to-use, user-friendly and attractive user interface. Another favourable feature is that this platform is totally cloud-based and so it works on any browser. Google Classroom has various features for keeping my students interactive and engaged in my classes. The most helpful feature of Google Classroom is the ability to link a Google Doc or a Google Form to my assignment. Another helpful feature of Google Classroom is the in-built assignment grading feature to award marks and return the assignments to my students. The graphical user interface for students as well as teachers gives it a better look and makes it easy to use. Google Classroom gives detailed insights about students' assignment submissions. Google Classroom can be integrated with various other products like Hapara and Schoolytics which increases the capability of this product. I can start a Google Meet meeting with my students instantly through Google Classroom for hassle-free video conferencing.

Nachteile

One feature that Google Classroom is missing is the attendance marking feature. This feature is available in most of the competitor's products and so it might be a downside for those who are considering this product.
When the stream is updated from the teacher's side, it does not immediately show up on the students' side. They will have to reload the page to view the updated stream which is a bit painful somehow.

We chose Google Classroom over its other competitors due to the wide range of integrations that Google Classroom provides. Also, its ease of usage and extra features as compared to Blackboard Learn acted as an inspiration for buying this product.

Vorteile

What is great about Google Classroom is that I can give my students an assignment on Google Classroom and they can access it immediately. I can also create a template for them that automatically creates a copy for the students and I get a copy of it too. I can see what they are doing in realtime. I can also make comments or corrections as they type.
With Google Classroom, I can also give my students a quiz which I can set to autocorrect, even preset words or boundaries to look for.
Creating and adding students to the Google Classroom is very easy. It is also nice to share websites, documents, files, videos or pictures easily with students.

Nachteile

I wish this program had more options for video and audio responses for the students. Also, the format that it creates a link to websites is not very good. I put my classroom website on there and the preview window says "Google Sign In." I wish it were a little more pleasing to the eye in that regard.
Also, I wish I could add students to quizzes once they are published. I have new kids in my classes almost every day and it is frustrating to create a new quiz for the new kid.

It provides most of features which I need for solving my daily bases Task for my classes.
I can take attendence.
I cna share notes and handouts.
I can take quiz during time with record of time, answers etc.

Nachteile

Limited space is a big issue.

Another missing feature is that we cannot take print of quiz form like a ms word. The pdf version needs alot of pages.

It is very effective in creating differentiated instructions for students. You can assign different students different activities, thereby providing for all levels of learners in a classroom.

Nachteile

There is not enough variety of images in the forum option. Sometimes there are glitches in the system and the notification does not always pop up when students complete assignments.

I love that it helps me to communicate in real-time with my students, especially throughout the pandemic, this app is a lifesaver and a life-changer for everyone.
Everyone in my country uses this app and will continue to use it.

Nachteile

Virtual learning can be challenging but due to this app my school were able to communicate with each other effectively, I did not have any issues with this app so I am just looking forward to any added features.

It is an excelent way to start becoming an independent learner.

It lacks a lof of interactive fearures wich ends up taking users to other platforms.

With Google Classroom, teachers are able to easily offer their students new study strategies and track each student’s progress in detail. In just a few steps it is possible to send reading materials, recorded lessons and assignments to all students that can be completed through Google Forms. The students' answers can be easily accessed and also easily transformed into data capable of showing the performance of the room and the questions that offered the greatest difficulty. For students, this teaching platform allows quick interaction with teachers and classmates, who can post comments and questions publicly or privately, in addition to being able to receive individualized feedback from teachers.

Nachteile

Even with all its qualities, Google Classroom has some technical flaws that do not make any of its features unfeasible, but that can make them less intuitive. Viewing videos posted by teachers depends on integration with the Google Drive platform, and this communication may be flawed on mobile devices. It is common for the video preview to close when Google Drive is started automatically, and it is necessary to reselect the video in Google Classroom to start it in Google Drive. Another, less common but equally frustrating flaw is the lack of notification for some tasks that are approaching the deadline.

The most notable feature of this application is its free of use given the fact that our institution is a public one. The tracking system of the students progress is amazing!. The creation of classroom and delivering the codes and link to the students is excellent. The upload and viewing of learning resources is another strength of this platform. It also has the capability of integrating the different product and services of google. Overall, this platform is highly recommended for starter pack especially to those institution with tight budget.

Nachteile

The things that needs to be improved on this product is the assessment features wherein the checking of files and learners outputs is quite hard to view which sometimes leads to automatic downloads. It resulted to consume a lot of storage on my device. Another, things that needs to be improve is the pre-requisite features which requires the students to accomplish a certain topics before opening one. Lastly, is the monitoring of students access to verify whether they actually reading or doing their assignment on their own.

Vorteile

For starters, there is hardly a learning curve here. The software is easy to use and the transitions from one part to another are seamless. Furthermore, I believe you grow with the software so the more you use it, the more you discover and find things that work better for you. One of the features I use most is the one of "reusing posts" even from archived classes.
The other feature I like is the ability to create topics and populate that with material and assignments and supporting links, videos and other material.

Nachteile

The only thing I struggled with is in the recording option not being able to pause the recording. I would like to pause the recording for example when I am not explaining and looking at the students work and then continuing when that is done so we do not have videos of blanks spaces.

It's an easy way to connect teachers and students online, specially in this covid-19 pandemic. Teachers can easily share important contents about their discipline with the students and take control about the activities that the students need to do. The students can post in the classroom space the doubts they have about the discipline, and other students can have access to the answer given by the teacher, solving possible doubts in common between the students without necessity of each one of them sending an email for the teacher and the teacher needing to answer one by one. It's a good software to have control and awareness about schedules too, giving students and teachers the option to make their own schedule about each discipline they're involved with. Classroom's layout and visual is really clean too, and is easy to find where to do what in the site, it's organized in a intuitive form. And Google Classroom is connected with all the other Google softwares like Google Drive, where the students can have access to the online classes videos. Therefore, Google Classroom help to maintain a positive relationship between teachers, students and learning process even if not in the same physical space.

Nachteile

I don't really have much bad feedback or criticism to give about Google Classroom, but i think they could improve grading system with new grading possibilities and give teachers and students more stastitics and graphics about the performance of the class over the course period.

Vorteile

I can't describe how easy Google Classroom makes managing my assignments. It's the best platform for organizing work, creating templates, providing examples for students, accessing student work in real time, providing feedback and housing student work in general. It is very user friendly, and I would not be nearly as effective at my job without it.

Nachteile

The only feature that I can think of that I would want on a regular basis is the ability to see things from the student side of the portal as opposed to the teacher side. I often record videos and have to describe to the students what they will see even though what they are seeing on the screen is what I see. I don't think this would be a difficult feature to add. Facebook has a feature where you can see what your public profile looks like, Google Sites has a feature where you can view the published version of your site (what others see), it seems like it would be something they could offer. It won't stop me from using the software. It's just one small thing I often wish I had access to.

As many Italian unfortunately did, during the super first Covid period (about 2020, March), I was following an up-to-date course of studies, about my departement (dental hygiene).
University organized for all of us, students of its course, a serie of on-line video-lessons, advising all the students that in few time we could started use "Google Classroom System".
Great discover.
Good (not perfect, but almost good) quality of video. Plus, we need to consider it was a period full of people who were using the same option, so big channel traffic! It was very easy even for person who were not so able to move online.
School asked us to open each other an Aruba-domine e-mail. To be honest, I don't know the reason. Maybe just an organizative-motivation, but I still don't know if it's necessary.
Anyway, just an Aruba domine e-mail, a download of application if you're connecting by phone, or just follow a link if you're via web.
The same link, FOR ALL THE TIME OF THE COURSE, can connect you to the course you need to access.
So, definitely, one-year course, one only link for all. DON'T LOST IT! (I joke!).

Nachteile

What i like less of this software... to be honest, I really think it's usefull and well done, maybe they need to work on a privacy mood. People can view your access because system need to record access time and time you leave . But once you access, you have to take care, because it starts the videocam and audio, too. You can manage your preferences, but take care, anyway.

Google Classroom is the hub for my classes since it easily allows me to connect my students to whatever resources or assignments I might need. Like all other Google Tools, it can connect and collaborate with other Google Tools, it can also connect to other sites. The ability for me to make a Google Form quiz assignment, attach an article from an information database, and implement all the grades afterward into a Classroom gradebook makes it so easy for students to work independently and from wherever they have internet access! Many articles even have a button to share directly with your Google Classroom making it even easier! One other great use for this tool is that if I'm ever sick and not at school, I can add an assignment from my computer, helping substitutes immensely.

Nachteile

Google Classroom allows for a lot of customization for classes, but I wish it has a little more "behind-the-scenes" tools. For example, other Google tools like Docs allow you to see version history, which could be very helpful in a Classroom setting if you needed to undo a mistake or wanted to see students' interactions with the page.

Vorteile

I absolutely love how compatible Google Classroom is with other websites and programs. While I have used this program for quite some time, my students have not (lack of technology within the school unfortunately). It is super user friendly overall for all ages and experience. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. One major bonus point for me is that there is an application for your phone as well and it sends me notifications when students submit work, write a comment.

Nachteile

While there are a lot of websites and programs compatible with Google Classroom, I don't feel like there is a ton of customization within GC itself. I would ideally like to create folders right there within the page and cannot do so. I do wish there was the ability to use different fonts, sizes, etc. Versus using another program to continuously copy and paste back on to Google Classroom. Another slight issue I do find time consuming is that there aren't any notifications like on the phone app, that tells you when a student submits work, private messages, etc.

This software was easy to implement and very easy to send directions to parents. I was working with very young children (4-6 years old) and parents were the ones getting the children online. So I needed something that every parent would have access to (just needed a computer/laptop/phone with a google account). Also I needed something that was extremely user-friendly so the young children would catch on quickly to how it worked and be able to work somewhat independently.

Nachteile

I really didn't see any drawbacks. The parents were all able to get in and access the plans each day. I was able to set up times everything went "live" so I could put the lesson plans in early and not require anyone to look at them until a specific time -- keeping everything within a normal school day. As students completed the work, they were able to click "done" and I could see who's work I was still waiting on. Video's were easy to upload and websites were easy to link. All in all -- Google Classroom was a lifesaver during COVID.
